I used one 5-6 years ago when I had to use 30 tubes of caulk to seal windows and doors on a building I was managing at the time. The self retracting feature and the steady pressure made it an amazing tool, no drips and nice beads. It’s been on my list for a long time just haven’t had a project that needed, this new renovation will need it for sure.

Like stated, the impacts are awesome. I have a few and they each serve specific purposes.

M12 stubby does most of what I need. M12 right angle impact is awesome for tight spots. M18 1/2" is for the big stuff.

I love my m12 ratchets too. I end up using the impacts for removal and then use the ratchets for install (after getting the first few threads on by hand). The ratchets only go up to roughly 30 ft/lbs so there is no risk of over tightening most components.

They all have their place, but I use most impacts and ratchets on a regular basis...

Just sold my m12 fuel hammer drill with a 1.5 ah battery and charger. I get to open my M18 hammer drill kit with the (2) 5ah batteries. :oldglory::yay:

That's gonna be a huge upgrade, anytime I had to use my old companies m12 I'd be there all day and the drill would be crazy hot lol

I read up on that drill and it looks ideal for outdoor scale projects. Am curious how well the electronic clutch works but it is one less mechanism to fail which makes sense. Please do post how it fares as I'm thinking to get that kit plus the m18 surge driver for 329 as a path for some larger m18 batteries.

Immediate impression is the drill is the same size as it’s a compact Fuel configuration, the hard case does not fit the 3.0CP in either of the two battery locations, including the spot on the drill, the extra charger is nice but not needed. I will probably probably sell the charger down the road if I don’t find anyplace to put it (I can’t think of a place that I need to have it). The drill also has a great belt clip, much better than the M12 clips!

    More than I can afford
I am looking at the big tote, a large box, two of the 2 drawer units and two large and two small organizers.
Truck has a shell on it but I try to keep everything below the bedrail level so I have room for materials.

But at close to $1k for what amounts to a bunch of plastic bins, it is tough to justify, even as a business expense.

I've seen that, but with no handle, it would be too hard to push/pull up against the bed.

That would be awesome. I have a GX and two dogs (130lbs each) take up the back. I have to use a hitch mount for extended trips and use the husky boxes. Would absolutely grab some if Milwaukee made them...

As you can see, it's nice to have a nice flat workspace that we use as a table etc, and having the handles/wheels make it easy to remove and wheel into the garage etc.

I have the M18 and M12 fuel impacts as well as the M12 Surge. I find myself reaching for the Surge for woodworking projects where I need precision, it may just be me but I feel like I have more control with the surge. For deck screws or other similar operations I use one of the regular Fuel impacts M12 or M18 depending on how long I anticipate using the tool. Hope that helps! You could certainly get by with just the regular fuel M18 impact if you just want one tool.

Here is some photos of the M18 Fuel Hammer drill compared to the size of the M12 Hex Impact and Fuel Impact Wrench. Milwaukee has done a great job of getting all these tools similar size and small at that!

Pretty much all of them, but you won't go wrong with the right-angle impact.

I think the three plane levels are the most versatile. I have a Bosch which developed a fuzzy line and replaced it with a Stabila. Most units are not repairable so when they go bad and the warranty is up, they are trash. It's the one tool that I might actually consider buying the extended warranty for.

I've given away all my pneumatic stuff with the exception of my air hammer. The 1/2" high-torque with a big battery will bust nearly anything you want. I've used mine to do excavator track pads...

The beauty of the ratchet (esp. the extended reach versions) over the impact is the number of places you can get in, and the amount of effort you can save yourself.... The impact isn't great for reaching things like water-pumps, and the back side of valve covers.

Went against the grain and bought the M12 hackzall with the 4Ah battery and bag with the bonus M12 ratchet. :goingcrazy::crazy:

There was a bunch of other stuff I threw in the cart like hole saws and oscillation tool ends boy $300 gets spent quick. :frusty:
