I was at the post office today and a guy was mailing a package that was about 5" x 5" x 12" with Rock Auto shipping tape on it. I overheard him say, "they were supposed to send me a left and a right, and they sent me 2 lefts". I chuckled and thought, I've heard that before.

    Bumping this back up.

How are theses Moog lower control arms holding up? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a pair to replace my tired worn out OEM ones when I do my front end refresh.

I have spent the last few decades having Jeeps for toys and I can tell you that their is no Ball Joints hated more than Moog. At one time they were the brand of choice but something has changed. Sometimes you are better off going with what you know lasts even if it does cost a little more. I have had good luck with BJ's from NAPA for years and they spent most of their life off road in my case. I plan the same route for the Tacoma. Same with the BJs that have a knurled finish , they tend to remove metal when pressed out then you have issues trying to find a BJ that will fit back in thats tight

Drivers side lasted 1 year until ball joint blew, passenger side still tight. That's my feedback.

Only off road use is logging and fire roads

I ordered a set. They showed up the other day. They seem comparable to OEM ones quality wise.

I have new cams/hardware on their way. Hopefully this weekend I can get everything installed.

OEM cams and hardware I hope.

I only ended up having to use the cam bolts themselves and returned everything else.

Heated the bolts to get the factory seized LCA out.

When your LCAs show up, make sure you have both a passenger and a driver side. I ordered 2 different part numbers and was sent to left ones. This happened through Amazon.

Also. I read horror stories of people going through multiple sawzall blades on each side. Took me like 10 minutes to cut the LCAs off with a used blade.

Passenger cam is seized. Looking at buying second hand lca. Are there markings or distinct etching to identify them as Toyota oem lca?

It's as easy as installing a non-zerk-fitting ball joint.

    Old thread revival:

Has anyone replaced the bushings on a Moog LCA? I can't find anything about it.

I have Moog LCAs and I'm suspecting that the bushings are shot. I want to replace them with Whiteline polys.

I assume the process is the same as with the OEM LCAs....

Just replaced mine with Moogs, and had to cut old ones out (300K+ hard miles)... I sure hope it was a good decision..

My upper control arms are next, as well as shocks and springs (any suggestions?)

If you are wanting to go a great and affordable route I am running Eibach pro lift on my 2nd gen DCLB for shocks and springs and OME leaf springs as far as uppers go I have the SPC UCA and it rides like a brand new truck. If you need any other suggestions let me know I'd be happy to help out.
