Because they don't have gods holding on for dear life, spinning up the rear and trailing through corners at 150 mph on a contact patch the size of two credit cards.

Nice! There's nothing like that feeling of drifting a sport bike, doesn't matter how many times you do it, you always get that 'oh shit' feeling every time!

    ... because it's circles.

Honestly, I don't understand ANY vehicle racing. I barely get horse/dog racing. I like human racing only cuz I did track.

Rally car racing - more awesome because of the crashes and the fact that they do 120+ km/h on dirt

Going to the superbike races at Miller a few years ago I got into a discussion with an older gentleman on the plane.
I mentioned I was going to watch some motorcycle races and his eyes lit up "You like NASCAR?"
    "No" I replied quickly
"Too many tires for ya? Ha ha ha"
    "Not enought talent."

He didn't talk to me the rest of the flight, it was great.

Ever see the bike ice racing with the spiked tires?

Holy excrement. If you lose it you may get nail-gunned...

Yeah, but if you're into cars you've gotta love those things. The engineering that goes into them is incredible!
Plus, by that logic, nascar is on top because it's essentially 100% driver since the cars are built so much alike. You need a different scale!!

I'm not starting a war in here but 70% car and 30% driver for F1 is a ridiculous statement .

    That is all.

Nascar is actually pretty popular (right behing basketball in the country) and its not because of the circles, it's because of the crashes. Call it what you want, but that's what it is.

I honestly think it's boring myself. I once interned in the sports department of a local news station and hated when I got assigned to cover a Nascar race.

you forgot to add "in the rain". Everyone knows that a NASCAR car will instantly wreck if as much as a drop of rain lands on it.

I don't like nascar because they are just going around in circle and that is very boring. Like a dog chasing his tail i guess. Rally is great and i watched a while back bikes racing cross country and in cities and i thought that was also fun to watch.

Nascar is for people who know nothing about motorsports. I just dont see how people get excited about cars turning left for 3hrs.

#1 interaction between man & machine is Motocross 90% man 10% machine.
