UPDATE:

After a couple of calls, I was able to get the manager from Salinas to honor me the lower price for the taillights but apparently they won't make any other exceptions. Apparently there was an issue with all dealer parts websites because supposedly the sale was intended for "TRD accessories" only and not "parts". Headlights and taillights apparently are classified as parts and not accessories which is why the prices all of a sudden changed was the issue was identified. According to the parts manager there will be a 10% discount coming up on 2/16 for "parts", for those of you who may be interested.

 

Bummer - Well FYI BAM has the pro tailights for $130 each and like $12 shipping, this is my backup if I don't find a nice used set in the next few weeks.

Why is Toyota having this accessory sale? Does Toyota plan on producing less trucks in 2022 than they originally planned to?

I think the last time Toyota had an accessory sale, they wanted to clear inventory. With supply chain shortages I'm surprised they have excesses inventory of anything including accessories.

I'd take a set of TE bronze wheels at 20% off, but I don't think those are being discounted.

Is anyone else annoyed that different dealers have a different price for each item? I was trying to get a serpentine belt from one dealer at $35 but they called and said they had to cancel due to an extensive backorder and no timeframe for it to come in. The other dealer I chose is priced at $60 for the exact part.

That's bizarre to me as well. I just got a TRD skid for $265 while my nearest dealer was $30 more... I guess it's all up to the dealers...? With free ship - i'll order from AK if I have to.
