    What part of the housing is that exactly, as in what's the hole for?

    Is the transfer case aluminum housed?

    It's a vac line that plugs into the trans. See my post/Tim's vid here (could be camera angle but it appears to be straight in his vid):

    Thanks. Front side, upper left. Perhaps a guide hole? No threads. This really might be an issue.

    Aluminum, not sure. Possibly. Toyota used aluminum from 79-95 with the 4 banger tcases. This one of course is a 6cyl.

    The trades are just inherently more profitable right now in terms of pay, I make more fixing tour buses than my friend does in an entry level medical field with licensure and a four year degree.
