What's the craziest/most interesting/unique item you've ever hauled or towed with your Taco?

And I'm scrapping the old shocks too!

 

Yeah that looks to be a Challenger or Cuda hood, I honestly think they called that Raisin Bran Hood for 2 scoops.

 

What's that dinosaur made out of?

 

the dinosaur is made of steel. A woman in southern AZ cuts and welds them together.
She is about 8 hours away so have been on the lookout for her at shows so I can pick
up another.

 

I thought I was gonna have to wait until I got more stuff to scrap to get rid of the jack, but I found these partitions by the dumpsters at work; I got $21 for everything, which is way more than I expected!

 

Those floor jacks are kinda heavy, $21 for everything isn't too hateful. The old owner of my house left some old engine blocks and transmissions here, need to take them for scrap someday but l don't know if they make you unload at the scrapyard.

 

Have someone help you load them into the truck and then just shove them out the open tailgate when you get to the scrapyard!

 

I can use a hoist at the house, but maybe l could put them on old carpet or something that would slide easy.

 

There's some weird **** being hauled in this thread. Some of you live much more interesting lives than I lol.

 

Hauled my employer's Christmas decorations from the main office building to the storage garage yesterday; I've got a pickup truck and I'm too damn lazy to make multiple trips across the parking lot in this cold!

 

The exercise thing on the bottom is scrap, given to me by a coworker; The other stuff is shelving that was going from IT building to the place in Ivyland were we build the planes.

Just got a 2020 Quicksand ORDCLB, for the express purpose of towing our OffGrid Expedition 2.0 off road trailer.
First mod will likely be Redarc Tow Pro so we can hook things up and test

 

SICK looking rig! I just picked up my Vorsheer XOC and have the Tow Pro Elite. A few things I learned:

• Your Tow Pro will be in learning mode longer than you probably think but the trailer brakes will work - I pulled out from B&B RV in Denver and it wasn't until I was on Colorado 470 (about 20 minutes) that I noticed the Tow Pro stopped blinking Red and Blue and went solid blue indicating the system had calibrated and was in normal operation mode. Just be patient and know that the trailer brakes are working -- I was concerned but I could feel the trailer brakes engaging in Denver traffic so I knew it would be cool.
• I couldn't find in the directions how to switch between modes (online or the physical booklet that came with the gear). Redarc has a Tow Pro demo video up and the rep explains that you have to double tap the knob while the brake is depressed to switch modes. If I remember correctly the knob will be a green lit with a green led rather than a blue led.

Thanks! I might do that. Had a different tow controller in my previous vehicle (Jeep), so the Taco stuff is basically all new to me. The Tow Pro by far seems the best solution.
I haven't picked one up yet, but will be grabbing the Tow Pro, the Taco wiring harness and the trailer brake panel insert.

 

Its mostly all aluminum, with a full boxed steel/powder coated frame and Its dry weight is listed at 1900 lbs, but loaded up we are generally closer to 2000 lbs - 2500 lbs.
We usually have about 30+ gal of water, 30 lbs of propane and around 12 lbs of gas on the trailer at any one point. Usually we keep the extra gas on the tow rig, but have not had a chance to set any of that up on the new Taco.

 

So my little 5-lug slug could pull it!

 

We pulled it over some super (and I mean SUPER) sketchy shit over the course of nearly 20,000 miles with our JKUR. The Jeep was great off road, but it was not an ideal towing platform with only 3500 lbs towing cap.

With the 360 deg MaxCoupler and 22 inches of ground clearance the damn trailer nearly could have gone more places than the Jeep could have.
