Lol I hate mud. Never again.

I started cutting the passenger side out. Pulled the ac condenser, and started working on pulling out the radiator. New core support comes Monday. Ripping out a rats nest of wiring I had created Over the years. Time to clean it all up.

I also hate mud, but unfortunately it's part of life up here for at least 7 or 8 months of the year. Good luck with the project I'm going to take my time and try to clean up some things also.

I doubt this is helpful but I have one of those sitting in my garage unassembled if that helps in any way, like if you need measurements or something.

Haha, good to know but I'm not planning on doing another one anytime soon, unless I find someone looking to buy one complete. Just figured I'd share the idea.

Yeah, it's cool that coastal is offering that as a kit. If it were available when I tucked my front end I would have gotten that instead of building my own. The one in my garage is going on a buddies truck and I'll be welding it together for him.

Agreed. Knowing what I know now, I would go this route in the future but overall I'm happy with how my bumper chop came out so no complaints. I prefer the hybrid style anyway. Was a fun project over the weekend though.

I was just messaging Harry for that exact bumper. It makes a great deal of sense to me for the added approach angle since the pivots improve clearance.

It would make a great deal of sense for anyone that wheels to chop out the cross member. The pivots simply exaggerate that concept and make triangulating the frame easier which is great being the frames on these trucks are known to be weak.

Well, my Fiberwerx order is finally on the way. Depending on when Harry thinks my remaining shocks will be in I may be starting the build the first week of March. Hoping to have it out by the first week of June!

Yeah. In my quest to lighten up my rig, I’m thinking of opting for their aluminum option. Just gotta find someone to weld it up. Should save me a good 70ish pounds over the boat anchor I have now. I recently ditched my rear swing out and threw the spare in the bed. Instantly felt a difference on how the truck handled on turn in with less body roll.

Well was hoping to get these fenders mocked up today but the core support showed up mangled.

Have a new radiator coming also? If not theres an industrial cleaner for aluminum fins like on radiators and HVAC cooling systems. I think home depot calls it Coil Cleaner. Hit up your rad while its easy.

I thought about it while it’s apart since I’m going to order another condenser. I gotta change the coolant anyhow.
