I been waiting for 2 months (17 Dec) and haven't heard a peep. Still no build/ship date. Been told the 20th of each month Toyota usually contacts with orders that will be filled. Hope I get a call towards the end of the month lol

I’ve been looking for a pro and have found a few. I know new cars in general are a bad investment but with lack f trucks and prices for used three the roof I’m wondering how well the pro holds its value compared to other Tacoma’s. So far I’ve found a lime green auto, white auto and maybe a lime green 6MT but not sure on the green. Btw. The lime green auto eta is mid March. The other 2 are early April.

Probably way too late to respond considering your posting date, but I too found the headlights lacking. I replaced my fog lights with KC Hilites LED ones, and it takes a world of difference. I rarely if ever use my high beams for additional illumination, as I find the regular headlights plus fogs provide more than enough. And yes, I do have them pointed right.

I'm in Calgary and I managed to find a truck that was the exact spec I wanted 2 weeks out so I secured it before it landed. Currently getting some dealer options installed and I should take delivery by Friday at the latest!

Gateway Toyota in Edmonton fucked me around on a truck in the same spec so I was super hyped to find out there was one landing locally at Canyon Creek Toyota!

My thoughts exactly. I was going to go for the Lunar Rock until I saw it in person. Went for Midnight black and glad I did!
Also the color reminds me too much of Walt's ride.

Gateway Toyota fucked me as well. Put an order in on a Pro in August with Gateway. As well I put another order in on a Pro with another dealer in August.
Gateway says they are the #1 Tacoma seller in Alberta (they all say this I expect) and told me delivery of the Pro around December.
The salesman wouldn’t return our calls or emails. Finally got a hold of him and now he says gateway wasn’t allocated any Pros for 2022.
Luckily I had the other order in at another dealership and they are getting me one.

now to get my deposit back from Gateway. Might be a hassle. Not sure yet?

They shouldn't give you any trouble, unless explicitly stated all of those deposits are fully refundable as per AMVIC. I'm a sales manager at another dealer here in Calgary so worst case if they give you shit PM me and ill make a call for you saying you're my client and let them know they need to release your funds before it becomes a headache for them, they don't want AMVIC sniffing around over $500-$1000.

Not sure but i was offered one today. Dealer has an electric lime due end of march that is unspoken for. There are a few out there. If I thought it would be worth even a few G’s more in the short term I would consider buying it until i can get a sport premium 6MT. But knowing me I would want to keep it. If it was a 6mt i would for sure. I did speak to another dealer a few provinces over looking for the 6MT and told them what I was offered. He said buy it. They would get me a 6MT and give me what i paid for the Pro even if it takes 6month to get a 6MT. Told me i was crazy not too. He said they are done. No more can be ordered for 22.

BRO!! BUY THAT TRUCK! Even if you keep it until you can get a 6mt any Canadian wholesaler will pay you handsomely over sticker so they can ship it down south to the states! Seriously that truck would be fun to drive for 6 months and you can make a few bucks in the process!

I’m sure that is true. Ive been told that the 22 Tacomas that are now made in Mexico are subject to a 25% tariff to get exported to the USA

A lot of high-end used dealerships have begun picking up PROs specifically because of the rarity. PFAFF reserve (who sells Lambos to Bugattis) has sold 2020 and 2021 PROs. I'd imagine they will get their hands on 22 PROs and sell them for at least $75k plus.

I know a Tacoma resale value is always high. Even crazier right now. But how much better is the resale on a PRO. I would love one but I would be just as happy with an off-road or sport premium. I was leaning towards a Sport Premium 6MT. BUT I'm looking at 4-6 months from what I have been told. I missed out on a few allocations already, some because I didn't make up my mind fast enough and a few because the dealers wanted to put every option on the truck they could.
One of the dealers I was talking to told me they have a PRO due end of March that is unspoken for, I can get it for MSRP and no other fees. Its an Electric Lime auto. Kind of got me thinking about it but they are a lot of money. The more I thought about it maybe I should do it. I contacted a few other dealers and found a dealer local that said they have one more allocation unfilled and could request one in a manual but he also said that he feels like because of what's going on there will not be any more made for this year. BUT he did say that there is one out there in a manual that they could try and trade for but again the problem is no dealers want to trade. but he did say he would try. only sticking point now i suppose is they want a 2k deposit before they will even try. He said there are too many people dropping $500 deposits at multiple dealers wanting an allocation and they buy from who ever gets it first. If I want him to go after the PRO 6MT its 2K deposit or he wont try.

Wow 2k deposit is steep but I understand where they're coming from. Where are you located??
