Try a little pipe insulation, cut it to fit and use a little rolled-up tape on your current weatherstripping..might do the trick

 

Driver's bedside and new bed inside for mine was about 3500 3-4 years ago.

Yup and no you can't have my door and bedside hahaha

The beech tree in my side yard that was dying up top..a small limb fell off it in the middle of the night a few years ago, landed on the driver's side bedrail and cleaved right in half. Damaged bedside and the inside side of the bed which both had to be replaced.

Remember too that 12K doesn't include the value added to your rig with the new frame and other parts so no way in hell you don't get it fixed.

 

What do you think my truck is worth, at most?

 

I don't think my truck will get totaled, but I'm still worried; How sure are you that it'll be totaled? Also, I'm about to post the dashcam footage!

I have really mellowed out in recent years, too; Back in 2015 when the drunk old man hit my truck with his Mercedes, I was ready to murder him!

 

If it books at 12K right now I can't imagine you didn't add several more K to that with a new frame and the other parts easily, so even at 15K you're nowhere near that totalling threshold.

I did not even notice it until I was seeing it out of the corner of my eye through the passenger window; I thought that the excavator had control of it as well!

 

You mean the vehicle that hit him? Yeah, I don't damage other peoples' property...
