    Last week I had a limit sale for 50 shares at $40, so close to hitting it, so now Im sitting at $34 with no desire to sell that low.

    Shortly thereafter, within days, $NEM (Gold mining and supply) hit a $74 high

    Somebody bought 100 of the 4/1 $70 calls today...Thats LOT Of volume

    Interesting.

    For my purposes, it's just the metal. A mining company is a different creature. Gold is an interesting beast - it's essentially 0 yield yet improves the Sharpe ratio of any portfolio it is added to, meaning it does something positive to the risk profile no matter what else you're holding.

    With bonds yielding negative real, I moved the portion of my portfolio that was going to be in bonds over to REITs and Gold this past year. Congrats, Fed. If you were trying to push me further out on the risk curve, it worked. Sort of.

    So Im going to need ASO to go up to $40 this week or GME to moon... Ice fishing gear is going on clearance and I want to anger my wife even further by making the basement look like a fishing store.
