    Took my Tacoma into the dealer for the frame recall and had an estimate on new headlamps because the originals melted. Any thoughts on this price? I've been thinking about upgrading and everything I have seen costs much less.

    That is impossibly overpriced. You should be able to get new (but not OEM) headlights for somewhere around $250. Do you have the ability to do light wrenching yourself?

    Take a look at Rock Auto for pricing on TYC or DEPO units.

    I do light wrenching but this looks like a heavy job and I haven't decided what I want them to look like. Would I get a good deal buying online and taking to a custom shop for install?
