Yeah, that’s a little mind blowing on what could have happened had the end came through the side window.

I have seen an employee 23 years ago get pinned in a vehicle and it was horrific. Mind you, what was pinning him was 1600*F. You can imagine what happened.

Yes. He got off east if you ask me. The guy got pepper sprayed. In CO, a vehicle is an extension of one’s home. You cross that plain…totally justified using leather force.

They were bullets of steel that just came out of a furnace 8”x20’. The vehicle he was driving was not equipped with a headache rack. The truck had 18 wheels on the ground (huge industrial truck) and it ran over a manhole and it caved in. The bullets slid forward and pinned him in the cab.

Sorry your truck got tagged like that. Glad you're OK. That sliding pipe could've taken a different bounce & done much worse

I would of said the same thing, frustrating people can’t pay attention. Texting or driving drunk etc can get you killed.

"Salvage" and "Rebuilt" titles are pretty much the same thing. You won't end up with either unless it gets totaled - which it will not.

I thought salvage is what a vehicle gets if it's totaled, and rebuilt is issued if the vehicle is repaired and put back on the road?

Correct on the Salvage title. In the state where I live, repairing a crash damaged vehicle that was not totaled and getting it back on the road does not lead to any kind of marked title. It only leads to a notation on a CARFAX report and only then if the repair shop reports it to CARFAX. Getting your truck fixed should not lead to any kind of marked title.

Might be cheaper to find body color parts from a wrecking yard.

I know a girl who owed $4K on a 2016 Chevy Sonic with almost 100K miles last time I talked to her (September 2021); I doubt the damn thing is even worth $4K anymore!
