Welcome! I've never lived in Northern Virginia and they let me in here too. This thread seems to be the popular place for all Virginia people, so you're in the right place

edit: I also don't have a tacoma either, so I'm double not supposed to be here

Welcome to the best thread on TW, and nice looking truck!

I was NoVA, and they let me stay even after I left for Hawaii! (but I'll be back...bwahahahaha!)

Hmmm, I’m not sure what exactly that entails. @81Trekker is the JD dude on the forum so you could PM him and ask.

I thought it was in the ball joint to spindle that drilling was mentioned, but I didn't go recheck

Thanks. I sent in an email and tried to ask that question, but they didn't say. Was probably me asking incorrectly, haha.

Yeah, that's what it said...not sure I have the talent or nerves to be drilling out that attachment point. Plus, what does that do if I ever switch to a different UCA? I'm going to send a PM here in a bit to try and find out.

That’s what I’m unsure of because my long travel arms didn’t have to be drilled out, they dropped right in to the stock spindle. That’s why I don’t think it’s that and it’s something else but I’m unsure what.

As long as the work gets done, doesn't matter if a trail gets hit here and there. I've been working from home for 3 or 4 years now, don't miss the office, especially with the current mask requirement (which makes no sense).

There is zero drilling of the spindles for the upper or lower arms. All the EMF joints we use are custom made for us using the factory taper... they bolt right in.

If you want the double shear steering upgrade the spindle arm needs to get reamed to 5/8” as you are running a standard bolt instead of a tapered tie rod end in single shear

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I haven't started the truck since Saturday. That's unusual. It's probably feeling neglected.

Much thanks for that! I was about to draft up a PM for you, and you beat me to it. Do you think there would be any issues running the .75" UCAs with a front lift just above 2"?

Copy. The website said 2" of lift, just wanted to make sure I wouldn't run into issues with say a 2.25" lift up front. I plan on running either Fox 2.5 DSC or King 2.5 (both EXT) when I get my new truck this spring. Thanks again!

That’s what I thought but the description says otherwise hence the question. Thanks for the reply harry.

Do you guys have a recommendation for an antenna? I didn't have one on my truck when I got it, I didn't notice until it was too late. I have an aftermarket stubby on it but now that I'm out in F'berg I'm not getting good signal on most stations.

You won't be able to beat OEM (unless you go into some wild setup). Part number is 86309-04110
