Yep! We're finally underway on a teardown of a diesel backup generator. It's been great to have some work to do.
Everything so far is going good. Today is one day off a week we get. So last night after work stopped in to a little diner for some food, then went down theroad aways to bar so coworker could enjoy a few beers.
I sat there had a coke and watched Olympics.
Time to do laundry and pick up a little more food today. That's about it.
I'm still trying to be quiet so Cory can sleep in some.
    Hope everyone is doing good.
I'll stop back later and catch up some. Been hoping that Danny is doing ok.

About the same. I'm still weak and nauseated. Still stuck in this wheelchair. I got 2 units of blood the other day and it seems to help. I've been eating a little better but I'm kinda worried about 2 tests I have coming up. I shake pretty bad, so I'm sorry if ya can't make out what I'm saying.:)

More carnage! This being the hydraulic motor for rotating the grapple on one of our log cranes. EE96A7E3-502C-46B7-8D2C-78414F704111.jpgFB55C1B2-77D0-47F7-BAE4-8A44ABEAD4CA.jpg6FA2123B-4D61-43DF-B77C-0D5F80095D57.jpg

It's sold as an entire motor assembly, no rebuild kits available. We sent the plant manager halfway across the state for the only one we could find available. Just finished reassembly and it's back out unloading trucks.

Be interesting to do a cost-comparison of the replacement unit compared to @six5crèéd cutting you a new gear!

The gear was fine actually, it was the splines on the motor shaft, and the bearings+seals inside the motor that took the shit. Could've used the gear over again, but the new motor came with a new assembly so I'm keeping it for a paperweight.
