I changed my ucas when I got Icons, but light racing ucas are cheap and are very adjustable. When I had the billies I still had stock ucas and they worked fine

What size tire are you running now 245 or 265?

Doing it on the cheap would be to find a lightly used 3rd Gen take-off suspension.

Other options to consider would be replacement coil springs as low a $10ea when in stock Coil Springs 05+ Tacoma - AccuTune Off-Road (accutuneoffroad.com). If you tend to keep a lot of stuff in the back of your truck, custom replacement rear springs from ALCAN would be a nice upgrade. Alcan Spring • Custom Leaf Springs • Handmade in the USA I bought a set of these custom fit for my truck last fall. WOW what an upgrade! I'm also a fan of Sumo springs. SumoSprings® by SuperSprings® International, Inc. (superspringsinternational.com) They are a great option for a little extra capacity or to beef up some older springs. They have options for the front and rear of the truck. I use sumo's in the back for overloads when towing.

If I were upgrading an older suspension and wanted to keep close to the factory ride height. I'd buy a new set of shocks and new/used Fox or King take-off springs from Accutune for the front, and if I had enough cash Alcan spring packs for the back. Or if I wanted to keep the price down I'd get a set of sumo springs for the back.

Evening knuckleheads, heat wave,hit 38*. Speaking of suspensions , my truck needs help, my ass is sagging. Slight lift with a new leaf pack. Topper and lots of stuff in back is hard on stock springs. Not a modification but an upgrade.

Weather forecast is not looking good of course I washed my truck, clean for a day.

 

They're cheap bastards at Teledyne, but anything is possible. It was/is a security clearance position, from an agency that took 2 years to clear me. I replied to the position, just for the fuck of it. I have not a single hope that they will call me even though the old boss swore that he'd get me back if he could. Snakes.. all management is just a bunch of snakes, some just smile a tiny bit more.

We look like rain is on the way along with a few days of warm temps. There looks to be a few nights that I may not have to burn wood all night, which would be a much needed break. Getting up every 2 hours to stuff the woodstove has me mentally exhausted.
