How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Just check parts.toyota.com every once in a while, you can get them for much cheaper regularly.

 

that's exactly why having the LED package is a must... 450 vs over 1k.

 

Oh ya I know I can get them for around 1100 but damn 2400 is ridiculous. I thought maybe they would give some kind of deal. They did say they would price match but I don’t want them 1100 bucks bad. If they would give a better deal than that I would consider it.

 

at 1100 let alone 2400 you're probably better to just go aftermarket for the LED headlights.

 

This, right here is exactly why I turned down a few Tacos. No way I was paying 1200 or whatever... for Alpha Rex or Morrimoto when the factory installed option was 480.

 

Has anyone run into their dealer raising the MSRP before the truck arrives?
My dealer has my truck listed as “in transit” on the website. But the MSRP has gone up 2k. I’m wondering if I should call him and have a “chat”

 

If you have a signed agreement for MSRP, then I would call. For nothing more than verification. Going in oj delivery day to pick it up and finding out about a orice hike is not cool. Whatever you do, don't get nasty. Solves absolutely nothing. Remember, THEY, have what, YOU, want.

 

I am sure it has and will happen. If my dealer tries it I will walk.

 

Ordered 8/15/2021. DCLB Army Green TRD OR, only option with basic tech package.

Still nothing. Feels bad man.

 

Have you kept up with the dealers?

From what I have seen here, LBs are a wait just like MTs and Pros. Some colours, seemingly, cause a big wait also.

 

By now we all should know what "ordering a toyota" really means so with that being said....

I ordered and put a deposit down on my 22AGORDCSB6MT at the begining of December and I just got word that it will be delivered bout the second week of March. So if all goes as they say, looking at 3.5 months feom start to finish. Fingers crossed......

 

They just don't make as many, unfortunately. There's 1,708 Double Cab Tacomas on the inventory tool right now and only 236 of those have long beds.

 

There are no aftermarket LED headlights as good as Toyota's

 

The wife put refundable $500 check for a Lunar Rock 2021 Pro last May. She refused to pay anything more than MSRP. A dealership about 100 miles away doesn't mess around with any kind of "market adjustments". She has been somewhat calm with the wait. She checks in with the sales lady every few weeks. A couple weeks ago sales lady called and said they were allocated a black Pro with a build date of 3/7. It was hers if she wanted it. Obviously LR isn't an option with the '22 Pro, so she had requested the color MGM. Sales lady said she would try to get it changed. She did give the vin #. I registered that with toyota.com and sure enough it showed black with the few options the wife wanted. Bed lights and tailgate remote lock. The few days later, the sales lady texted no go on the color change. However, on toyota.com, with vin # provided the truck color changed to MGM. What should we expect? Black or MGM? My wife is getting the truck regardless the color.

 

what dealer did you go through? I put a deposit down 11/24 in clearwater, nothing, went there today, sales manager basically told me, no clue if or when i'll get an allocation. deposit 1/7 pinellas park, probably my best bet at autonation, but only been a month there. sigh.

 

Ordered my TRD OR Access cab the week before Christmas, got word it was in production last week. I am expecting to see it mid to late March. They are only charging me MSRP and giving me crazy trade in for my current Tacoma. Looking forward to the up grade.

 

DAMMIT...ok, not really. I put in a deposit for a Black TRD Pro last June (maybe July, but I did talk to the dealer in June if not put the deposit down then). Been waiting until last allocation, and swapped out for a Black OR with TRD Premium, Advanced Tech, and LED lights. As I'm doing quite a bit of camping work on the truck (so it will likely need a bit of an adjustment on the suspension), the OR is really a better truck to modify than a Pro, but kinda hurts to hear of somebody getting EXACTLY what you wanted, when that's not what they wanted. Enjoy my truck!

 

I bought truck from Village Toyota in Homosassa Florida, just a couple miles south of Crystal River.

 

That's almost exactly what my dealer said. 2.5 months here. Electric Lime Green Pro with a manual - he called it a unicorn and told me they may never get an allocation for that.
