What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Installed AP sliders we did it bolt on = drilling 32 hole in the frame fkn not fun!

What plug did you use to replace the cig lighter? Plug and play besides cutting the plug in half?

 

Almost plug and play. I had to undo the terminal on the red wire, and dremel a larger slit in the plastic because it was too narrow to fit over the connector on the Voltmeter on that side. I then put the plastic bit back on and it fit. I also trimmed a little plastic that was poking out off the terminal cover on the - side as well so it would sit on the connector a little further. It will make more sense once you try to connect everything. YMMV though depending on what you are trying to plug in.

 

I thought for about 5 seconds about drilling all them holes. Then I rushed to get some gas and started welding them fuckers on.. I can just imagine your pain.

Does it matter if I try resetting my ecu with a warm engine or should it be cold? Or does it not matter.

Did another ecu reset for the third time but this time left it for about two hours, not just 5 minutes. Still hovering just around 1000 after 10 minutes in park, shooting for around 750. Really hoping this fixes it tho I don’t think it will. Rockauto warranty replacement IAC just came in the mail today.

 

Have you tried draining capacitors by touching leads together while off the battery?

any chance you have the paint code from them? Im gonna be doing mine pretty soon and have thought about asking them to add a little tint to darken it up, or at least get it slightly more blue than blurple!

 

I tried but they’re not very long so I could only bring them together for a couple seconds at a time a few times. I’m not sure how long they’re suppose to be in contact for.
