Essentially it gives you more of a linear throttle response and tones the computers interruptions down. To a degree you can also adjust how much gas you're actually getting when you tip the throttle in. I know that sounds lame and boring but that's the simplistic approach. I'm not sure if it's able to be done on second gen's but I know on third gen automatics shift points can also be played with to a degree. The rev limit can also be raised among other small things.

I think there’s full tables for the 4.0 but the problem is there’s approximately a billion different ecus compared to the third gen where it’s 2 per year plus TSBs. The 4.0 is like 20 per year and no one knows why.

actually no the worst would be when i wheeled the truck i always pushed my truck harder then i prob should have because i normally went with jeepers and they would always say man you got this just give it a go! and i would always just go wellllll alright you talked me into it.... i normally made it with a bit more effort but thats where most of my issues stem from is me being dumb offroad and taking harder trails then i prob should

 

plus the other josh has jumped his truck more then i have lol

 

I've done pretty hard trails and all I've had to replace were my inner tie rods. Jumping isn't real easy on these trucks especially if you don't have the proper suspension set up for it
