I do have the black stubby sawzall. It is indeed badass looking.

I have that drill/driver set. It's nice. I actually got it after testing some FUEL stuff because it felt smoother. I didn't like the soft-start on the Milwaukee, or the angry jet noises.

Then I replaced those with Metabo HPT after reading that Makita was going all-in on 40v. That didn't make me feel good about the future of the Makita 18v lineup.

I was buying with general homeowner and woodworking stuff in mind, though. The triple hammer impact driver is great. The rest of the lineup is slim. The impact wrenches are good, but only 1/2". I'd rather have 3/8" if I could.

 

Have you tried the Milwaukee hydraulic impacts?

 

I haven't. I've read good things, but I'm trying to stay on one battery platform and I'm too deep into Metabo HPT now.

 

I think smelling the paint dry might be the problem
