2022 Trail Edition Owners Thread

Hang in there. I think they're running a little behind on the builds. I was originally told back in early December that mine would be built on 1/31. On 1/31, I asked the dealer if it had been built and was told it had been pushed to 2/4. Well, that date came and went and finally on 2/11 I got a text that it had been built. It's still going to be another 3 weeks or so before it makes its way to the dealership. Yours will likely be built soon. Did you get a temp vin? You can enter it on the Toyota owners site and when it stops working, you'll know your truck has been built. Mine stopped working a day or two before I got the text saying the build was finished.

 

Thanks, buying mods for it has been making the wait easier lmao. I did not get a temporary Vin and haven't even been given a new estimated build date so I think it's still going to be a while

 

my dealer marked up my Army Green Sport 4x4 $5000 too, but, they gave me an extra $5000 on my trade-in to even things out....

I talked to my friend who owns the Toyota dealership and a few others yesterday. They have an TE and 2 Pros in baby shit green coming in. I would be down to buy a Pro, not really wanting one but would strongly consider it. I can buy the either one $1500 under sticker. Back in 2018 I paid $35K and some change for a loaded Sport which sits with 20K miles garaged kept with title in hand. I added Bilstein lift, tires ,wheels, leather heated seats, stereo speakers, box and sub, remote start, tailgate lock, front cam and so much more I really hate to part with it or keep it and buy maybe a TE or a Pro

Can anyone who already received their trail edition confirm if there is wiring for fog lights or if a wiring harness would have to be purchased?

 

Awesome! Thank you for taking the pic. Now I'm curious what the wiring goes to because I assume there isn't a fog light switch in the dash panel right?

 

If I'm not mistaken. need to purchase harness and relay.

 

In the pic above you can see the fog light wiring. I'm curious what it goes to though, since I doubt there's a fog light button in a truck with no fog lights. I could be wrong though

 

You're correct. need to either replace your light stalk or add a switch.

 

Hopefully someone here will be the first to do the fog lights mods and we can follow. I have a broken ankle no weight on that foot till April. Thanks for the info.
