Sorry i just ask them to make it a little darker, but I’ll ask if they have the code.

 

From my understanding it’s fairly instantaneous once contact between hot and ground has been made… Maxbore.

 

Dead center as in normal? Nothing normal about 1100 RPMs in park.

 

Hopefully, the new IAC fixes it. Make sure to disconnect the battery while you swap them out.

Also, while you have the TB off, take a close look at the butterfly. Shine a light through it from behind. See if you can see light coming through around the edges between the bore and the butterfly.

 

Mine always took a bit of driving to get it to settle down. But if it was doing this before you reset, then I suspect something else is afoot.

You clean the maf? Have any pending codes? Oem iacv? clean it. Check the butterfly opening. Check the plunger on a cold start, see if it sits right.

 

MAF was cleaned recently. IAC is not oem. About $120 off rockauto. And what the hell is the Italian tune up? I’m either not educated on this fix or just missing out on the inside joke lol.

 

if get an oem iacv, such an important piece to the reliable taco, I wouldnt cheap out on that piece. The italian tune up was more used in the days of carbs, I still believe in it for cars thats have sat for awhile or an owner that never would go past 50mph cus they never did hwy speeds, or when you out a cleaner you hust rev it all out of the system. You dont have any pending codes?

 

Here’s what I’m starting to think….
Back when I originally replaced the old IAC in December, I never reconnected the PCV hose that connects to the TB and drove it like that for almost two days before I realized what was going on. Had a bit of a weird idle to it but still drove fine. Is it possible that since I drove it like that for two days I forced the computer to adjust itself accordingly and just hasn’t been able to adjust itself again yet?

 

Just the P0420 that comes and goes

 

If you plug it back in and you disconevt the battery and remove the fuse aswell and reconnect might go back after a tank of gas

 

Could be a bad cat, o2 sensors, exhaust leak, bad gas, ive even seen a can of seafoam in the tank will fix it for that code.

My 95 idles pretty damn high.., i need to look into that once I have the bed on it.

Lower ball jts put up a bit of a fight tonight. . I'm a tierod away from being finished. According to the misses running the impact a 3am is a no go.
Took out 2 pitman arm pullers. The heavy duty one is super fiddly but got the job done with a huge poow!!
