I think I’d have to hear it in the truck to judge. There’s a 3G Pro near me and it has the “old GM 3.1” sound a bit too much for my liking. Granted the 3G has a smaller motor so it will be higher pitched.

There was a 2G Baja that used to commute around the same time as me with some sort of dual exhaust that just sounded awful. Maybe I’m getting grumpy in my old age. There’s a WRX near me that has a burble tune that I want to throw a pipe wrench at when he does the gunshot thing when I’m trying to put the kids to bed.

    Get off my lawn.

Edit: Then again if I got a WRX I’d probably do an SPT or equivalent catback on it again anyways, so I suppose that makes me a hypocrite.

One of you throw something at it or tag it, and the other can confirm. It’s only logical

Don't worry they're a WRX owner. They'll buy a Tacoma soon enough and start bitching about how it doesn't drive right because it doesn't drive like their old scoot scoot sedan. Seems to be what half the threads made are - "I bought a truck and it drives like a truck. What gives Toyota?!?!"

It's cold as balls out there this morning. But it appears this may be the turning point for the temperature. Might see some more flaky BS but at least down here the frigids may be coming to an end for the year.

Then, the natural progression would be F150, right? :stirthepot:

When I got my Reroute done, I had it done at "Service Connection" in Monson MA. I know that it is a hike for you guys but All he does is custom exhaust and I think I paid $150 out the door. He tucked it up real nice as well.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Yeah, I have heard a 3rd gen with an exhaust and it didn't sound very good. I don't know what was on it but it sounded tinny and raspy. I like how my 2nd gen sounds though.

Honestly, I'd give a hard look at that 7.3 gasser if I were to buy one new. Unless you're pulling heavy things on the highway day in and day out, the 7.3 is a great option. It still pulls really well and doesn't come with any of the drawbacks of the oil burner. As much as I like the diesel and am addicted to the obnoxious power it has, if I had to buy a new one today, it'd likely be the 7.3.
And, if you're going with a 350 dually, you're usually better off jumping to the 450. It has a lot of similarities but commercial wheels/tires for better load control and it has a tighter turning radius so you can actually park the damn thing.

Anyone want to do a small/short wheeling run somewhere on Monday? Maybe one of the MA or NJ spots? Weather looks good (55F and sunny) and I know some people have the day off
