Just remember the "what's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine" rule (as far as the wife is concerned). Also, remember that she can do what she wants, but you have to walk the tightrope.

meet in May of 1979 and got married in November 1979. Can't say it has always been easy but like someone else said earlier in the post "you get what you put into it". She has to be your your best friend or you aint doing it right.

Holy cow man, props to you, that's awesome. Almost 32 years after just knowing someone for 6 months? That's crazy man.

I know a couple whose meeting was a complete coincidence. She dialed the wrong number and accidentally called her now-husband. They had a good chat, decided to meet, and six months later were married. They're at 23 years right now.

    Been married twice. Divorced twice.
    A few long term relationships.
I'm happy to be single now. I've spent far too much emotional energy, mental energy, time and money on unhealthy relationships. I don't want to do it again.
So I'm taking a break. If 'love' finds me, that's fine. I'm not going to search for it though.

Been married going on eight years now. The beginning was a bit rough, we both had a lot of growing to do, struggled a lot financially, and jump into things bit quicker than normal.

For the past 5-6 years though things couldn't be better. We are literally best friends and we truly enjoy being around each other and share almost all the same hobbies. I say almost same because she doesn’t necessarily share my hobby/obsession to dump loads of money into my truck to make it the truck of my dreams.

I tried the marriage thing once for 5 years. It didn't agree with me. Been with this one for almost 4 years and I see no marriage in my future.

The best part is she is a Master Fitness Instructor and is hotter now then 15yrs ago. Pics coming just wait... Btw she loves the Tacoma and let me black out the emblems on her Rav4...

I have to say for 95% of the time I'm happy in my marriage. Approaching the 30th anniversary this year. No way it's perfect but the good times outweigh the bad by far. I'm 100% faithful and 100% committed.

Might as well be married was mine. Been engaged for almost 6 yrs now. We like it this way so far. Have a house together. We split all the major bills down the line except for our vehicles, we pay on our own for those, then we each pay for our own small bills, credit cards and shopping. It keeps some of the arguments out of the way keeping the money part seperate and having our own bank accounts.
