A long bed Tacoma really helps a lot for me. I bass fish in my kayak and it fits in well with a tie down strap around the end of the kayak. Doesn't stick out too much.

I carry 2 10'ers and 1 6' kids kayak stacked on top of each other (alternating directions, ratchet strap wrapped) in a LB with the tailgate down. Another reason to go long box.

Pretty sweet set-up. How close are the kayaks to the cab? Wondering if deeper kayaks would rub.

They are close but I use the bow and stern rope to also secure a pool noodle I cut to size so it rests without tapping the cab, I can just barely open the back doors.

But the curve of the underside of the kayaks feels like it was made for Tacoma cab to fit perfect

My 15 footer fits perfectly with the tailgate closed and with room left over for a cooler and luggage.

...so long as I remember to pack the air pump too. :cookiemonster:

@CubanSammichPt2 thanks for the quick response. I'm looking to get the KB Voodoo hi rise bars for use with my bike and 10' kayaks but was worried it wouldn't work for the kayaks. Your set-up definitely eases my concerns.

No problem another member actually gave me the idea , also I have plans for storing my two bikes in the middle as well, there is ample space between the kayaks for such things.
Bed bars are a short beds best friend
