Haha..not sure I need anymore misdemeanors thank you...though if I don't get caught...

The one I'm thinking of is 2 houses from me, 18 year old kid. It only really irked me last summer hearing it pop or him goose it right in front of my house since Cupcake was recovering from surgery.

Took everyone's advice and am trying out Milford Bicycle. Just dropped off the wheels for my makeshift gravel bike to be trued and tuned. Met a nice guy working there so off to a good start. We'll see how the final product looks but I'm sure everything will be fine. They seem to know their stuff.

Jeff (the owner), Jimmy, and Ed are the three guys I know were working there last. They're all really nice guys and they definitely know their stuff. One of the few shops I'd take my own bikes to (from out in Oxford even) before I moved to VT.

If you have a spot to stop, pick up one regular and one non-alcoholic six-pack on your way back over, they'll love you for it. Tell 'em "Eammon (Ay-men) says hello".

I'm done with that froth pack. Little more than 1/2 full of you'd like to give it a try.

Here's the new 'project bike' I was working on. @BadDNA the guys at Milford Bike did well! The rear wheel was apparently out of round also and they went through the bearings, greased them up and cleaned up the gears while they had the bike.
This is going to make it's debut as a gravel bike this year. I stripped down the front end, greased the head set, new grips, new pedals, new chain, new scrub brakes and new tires/tubes (I went from 700x28C to 700x38C and a more aggressive tread pattern). All done, just waiting on grips. We'll see how it holds up!

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I just wish I could put something more than a 2.0-2.1" wide tire on my bike. They don't make anything good on my size and the frame isn't wide enough to fit a 2.35"

That's where I was at with the blue bike. I went with a 38 wide which is about 1.5". I might have been able to squeeze in a 40 wide but it's pretty snug now. With a 40 wide, any shimmy in the wheel would likely make it rub the frame. The mountain bike is rocking 2.6" tires and I absolutely love them, they just monster truck over shit!

I got a Giant Talon 4 a couple months ago. I was looking at a Talon 2, but the shop talked me down. They said the 4 will serve me just fine to start back out and saves a few bucks if I don't get back into it. If I do start regularly doing more difficult trails, I'll probably want to move a step above the Talon series anyway. I went 27.5 because I liked that it felt a little more nimble than the 29.

Even the one I got is a pretty decent step up from the Giant Boulder I put thousands of miles on in high school. That was a steel frame bike that didn't even have disc brakes.

I took a vacation day today, so I might try to take it out if the weather cooperates.

It's probably sold, but Copeland has a silver gray Limited DCSB sitting in the show room. No sticker, so it might be used.

BJs just started a deal for $150 off on Michelin tires. I'm really leaning toward LTX M/Ss and the timing works out since I'll probably be willing to take my Nokians off before it ends.

They're kind of old man tires, but I drive over 50 miles back and forth to work on paved roads every day, so something that's quiet, gets the best fuel economy possible, and wears well really should be my priority. I don't think they'll be a problem for the rare and very minor off road travel I may do.

I'd really like Grabber ATXs (my AT2s were probably my favorite tires) and they'd probably be a good option if I didn't run dedicated snow tires in the winter. I'm trying to make the adult choice and acknowledge they'd be worse than the Michelins for 99.5% of my driving.
