    moron report

so about a year ago i got a new boss. he's clueless.
about 6 months ago i went to the owner of the company and told him he had to get rid of this guy or he was going to run the business into the ground. i told him then that if things didn't change it was only going to get worse the busier we get (it was pretty slow at the time and the dude was way in over his head)
he knows nothing. hasn't bothered to learn the software we use (its not hard), constantly losing track of this project or that, no idea how to manage our team or our customers. constantly having the guys switch from one project to another which is only slowing us down.
several times i've gone to him and tried to steer him into doing things differently, to save our asses. present my thoughts and back it up with several examples of why my way is better. its alway, ALWAYS ' i get that but...i'm going to ignore everything you just said and do the completely illogical clusterfuck of an idea i had instead so we can shoot ourselves in the foot yet again.'
i told dipshit a month or so ago that i was getting worried. projects are picking up, more to do, new people on board so there's always a learning curve that slows things down.
    he ignored me
    and ignored me again.
    and again.
about two weeks ago one of our biggest customers who have pretty terrifying tempers got fed up and unleashed hell on both dipshit and the owner. now the owner is involved in trying to right things. dipshit is pushing everyone way too hard and still in the wrong direction. had 1 coworker end up in urgent care last week with an anxiety attack. two guys left today early because they were just so stressed they couldn't do anymore. i probably should have done the same but stuck around. my back is completely screwed up again because im off my routine of walking and stretching and keeping up with all the stuff my chiro wants me doing. as of noon today I have my schedule booked full through Tuesday of next week. Its rare that I don't get my schedule cleared out every single day. we got 2 or 3 weeks to finish up a couple of projects that realistically we need 4 or 5 weeks to do and dipshit is still prioritizing other things ahead of these projects.
owner is out of town this week. i plan on cornering him first thing next week and reminding him of our conversation 6 months ago. who knew i was psychic...

i dont think its going to get better for a long time. not unless i can convince the owner to kick dipshit to the curb.
    or find a new job.

There is something wrong with the owner if they aren't listening to you.
Could be a fast way to get rid of moron: a 9 point UA test (but I'm guessing the owner doesn't require that).

seriously considering that. tired of getting crapped on and being the grunt.
i have a couple ideas. main problem i see right now is real estate. i need shop space.

i hope he will this time. i was dead right in what i told him 6 months ago. saw the writing on the wall
oh, and i have the 2nd most seriority in the department (out of 30ish), 4th in years of experience in the field. maybe 6th in seniority in the whole company (120ish)

@USMILRET Started laughing from just 1 of dozen incidents at our house...
Mom walks into the livingroom, says "Where is my heating pad?"
"Got mine" from all but my brother who said nothing, didn't look directly at Mom, pulled out the heating pad and handed it to her.

Dad told him he owed Ma a foot rub for that one

Whatever it takes, do it. If you have to rent a crappy barn for awhile, you will never regret it!

Sounds like my Son. He let it go for a year until the CEO listened to him, not sure how he pulled it off but my guess is it was snarky to get his point across. Now he's running the company and still feels like he's herding cats.

Well you can at least discount the agent Orange. I believe you were in about the same time I was and it hadn’t been used in over a decade. Last military use was 1971 and the remaining stock was destroyed in 1978 so you’re safe from that at least

    ummm...Desert Storm.
Though there was a minor change from using T-2 to T-4, just as bad though.

Edit: Not trying to outdo you, it was my thesis for Mycology batchelor degree. The stuff that was used from WWII on has done more to destroy the climate than every damn vehicle on earth running all at once.

Idk we were told, studying agents for nbc , the rest was destroyed in the Atolls I believe. At least what was used in Vietnam. Hard to imagine a defoliant used in the desert but I asnt there thankfully

Not so much as a defoliant than rust mold and possible contamination from natural and man made biologicals. We took everything out of the desert that time, not so much since though.
