    Hi all,

I ordered BEck Arnley LCAs from Amazon, as I need to replace my bushings and alignment cams. They arrived today, and I received one Beck Arnley LCA (brand new, with castle nut) and one OEM LCA in the Beck Arnley box.

The OEM LCA has the original manufacture date/stickers on it, made in 2012. no castle nut, and looks scratched up. Probably from being in a warehouse for 10 years.

Should I send it back for a “new” BA LCA, or count my blessings that I got an OEM part for 40% the price? Pics below show condition. Thanks guys.

 I'd send it back! It looks used and God only knows what its true origins/story are. That is beyond weird, but also doesn't surprise me the least w/Amazon.

Is the 'OEM' one the pic on the right (ball joint wise)? What's the crud in the threads? It looks like someone ordered the BA arm, and returned it to Amazon - with his/her old arm in the box. The goons @ Amazon wouldn't know a new LCA if it fell on their head, so likely didn't question the return.

I'm VERY dubious about buying parts from Amazon. Occasionally, I do buy from Amazon, but ONLY if the seller IS Amazon. If the seller is third party, no way.

    I'd keep it.
I have brand new OEM LCAs that came pretty scratched up. Painted with bed liner...a year later from moving around the garage there are new scratches.

Ball joint bolt looks used. Maybe get a new Moog and call it a day.

Appreciate all the replies. Put the return in, and Amazon ordered a replacement. Should come in a week or two (damnit). We'll see if it's an actual BA part this time...

I really doubt that. Our trucks’ LCAs don't come with all those stickers. And the LCAs are too unscratched. Its more likely an Amazon employee put the LCA in the wrong bin.

what is a BA LCA? My theory has always been if it’s brown drink it down. If it’s black, send it back.

Trucks that have had their frames replaced do come with LCAs like that (although can't say I recall seeing the distributor sticker), but trucks originally from the factory I believe you're right as IIRC those stickers aren't on the original LCAs. An Amazon employee put that LCA in the wrong bin, ok, but then how did it make it's way into a BA box? At this point it doesn't really matter as we're all just throwing darts at a board. Instead, let us take this moment to reflect on a very fitting quote by the great Forrest Gump who said, "Life is like shopping at Amazon, you never know what you're gonna get."
