Finally got some half decent photos of my new AG Trail Edition. Absolutely love it so far, and the green/bronze combo looks great. Picked up the black taco lettering, the remote tailgate lock, and the bed mat from Toyota while it was all on sale. Going to yank out the storage boxes and lay down the bed mat this afternoon.

Let us know how simple the uninstall of the boxes is. I have seen a video but always good to get other opinions.

For those who are considering a Trail Edition, or fellow owners who just want to hear my review of the truck, I finally got around to making that YT video as promised.

It was easy. 6 Torx bolts per side; 1 inside the box, 1 on the floor of the bed, and the 4 that fasten the rail system. Can't remember the exact Torx sizes, but they weren't all the same.

Does anyone know the part number on the bronze Trail grill? Are parts orders available yet for 2022s?

Just wondering if any owners have confirmed that it’s a 1/2” block in the rear for the lift? That’s what I read initially but would be interesting to know on the production truck.

Added these sliders. I mostly drive to trailheads, but I’ve bottomed out the family Fozzy in the past.

How do you like them, what was the cost out the door, did you have them install them? Intrigued by these.

Haven't confirmed this, but that's what was stated and it's definitely way higher up than a stock TRD OR even. So I have had no reason to question it.

The only glaring difference from press release to production appears to be the inclusion of the air dam. Which is hilarious both because it costs Toyota extra production time and parts money, and because the TRD OR skid plates are on underneath still.

I like they are solid, low profile, bolt on, and there is a matching bumper. They were $950 and I paid $310 for install. Plus tax and $25 shop fee.

You tube install looked easy enough, but it’s ski season. 4WP install took 4 hours but supposed to take 2. I went to 4WP before reading yelp or TW reviews. I think they did a good job, it looks nice and clean underneath. I wouldn’t go to them if I had plans or was in a hurry.

Nice I'm also kicking around the idea about adding rock sliders (frame mounted) as I'm not a fan of the predator steps (body mounted) that I removed soon as I got home along with the silly air-dam.

I can count on one finger all the times I've scraped something on my Lexus LX450 with 33's so I highly doubt that I'm gonna go anyplace that I'll worry about dinging the cab.

Never the less it's better to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it.

All right you made me go out and look, you win. It does appear to have a block, although it looks like it’s a little bigger than half an inch.
