I was wondering if anyone has had this issue before and can give me some direction. I bought a used 19 OR, I deleted the previous owners phone and added mine, at one point I downloaded Entune but it seems pointless and when it started dropping calls I deleted it. I tried deleting my phone and reconnecting already, didn't work. What's weird is I've gotten at least two different names when it connects. At first it just says "tacoma" then it will be "car accessory" or something like that. The music works fine, I use You Tube music and it never has a problem. I was thinking about resetting the computer maybe? It goes between 2-7 minutes before it happens, almost every time. (Iphone 12pro max)

iPhone? The new iPhones have a problem with the entune radio's. Toyota is aware but don't seem too motivated to get it resolved. My iPhone 8 worked for years without issue. My new iPhone 13 has the call drop issue.

I have a 2019 OR as well. Bluetooth worked fine for 2 years up until the last 2 iphone updates. Now it drops just about every call. I have an IPhoneX thats probably 4 years old....

    Yeah
Mine does it too. 2018 and iPhone 13.
Does it matter incoming vs outgoing for you guys? I have much better luck with incoming calls, outgoing calls don’t make it 2 minutes.

I thought it was working with incoming but today it dropped it in less than 3 minutes.

I don't think so. I called Toyota and while they acknowledged the issue and said multiple vehicles are affected, even newer than mine, they don't have any update from their engineers as to if or when they might have a resolution. More calls to Toyota couldn't hurt.

I’m running the latest update. It doesn’t help. Removed the phone, deleted the personal data settings. Unfortunately we’re at the mercy of Toyota and Apple.

Do these issues happen with Android phones? I can't stand apple products and would love a reason to dump them.

You read the TSB and/or previously updated or you selected "check for updates" on the headunit?

Yep, my iPhone 8 and 2017 Limited usage is spotty.
I usually quickly answer, and let my caller know I will call them back when I get to my destination.
    Definitely a bummer

Good stuff, I have an iPhone 12 max and same issues started happening. When i make calls via bluetooth, at 2 minutes it cuts out and either ends the call or partially disconnects and i can salvage the call using my phone speaker.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and was fine taking calls in my '16 but around November I started experiencing the truck will end the call about 10 mins in but the call will still be active on the phone. I have to use ear buds now for calls. I can't find a solution to this, debated on upgrading head units to something with android auto but trying to avoid a significant cost at the moment. Spotify has no issues. Zero issues with Bluetooth prior to Nov.

Hmmm seems to be about the time 5-G went online everywhere - I wonder if 5-G is the issue.

Have you picked up the phone and changed to the earpiece? In my case the call is not dropped just the Bluetooth between phone and car microphone. Still a problem but it is not the network dropping the call.

Naw I don't do the ear-piece thing - any kind of earpiece things gives me a headache.

    Just getting started.
This is an Apple issue. I've had nothing but problems with the bluetooth on my iPhone X since updating it to iOS 14, and that includes my wife's 2017 Explorer and the 2015 Kia Soul I was driving before getting my Taco last month.
