You're correct, it isn't the network dropping it. I've noticed the controls on the screen don't always work with a connected Bluetooth phone like trying to answer or end a call using the head unit.

Happens to me as well with an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I thought it was just my phone or truck, it’s pretty frustrating.

Following this thread. I started having issues in ‘19 SR5 with the call drop/headunit restarting issues. Had them perform the TSB supposedly, but didn’t fix it. My issues started up in December/January out of nowhere.

Oh I dunno all my calls etc come through the head-unit to the truck speakers and generally works fine. Love when google maps gives me
    directions that way too.

I have an issue with Apple car play and Bluetooth mic quality being terrible. In my wife’s Durango with wireless car play no issues.

Bumping this thread. I posted about a year ago. About a month after posting last year about this issue, the problem went away. I assume because of an iOS update because I didn’t do anything to the trucks system.

fast forward to tonight, I hop in and boom same symptoms where my calls get dropped constantly and the touchscreen starts restarting. I just updated the iOS to version 16.7.2 a few days ago and hadn’t driven it for 2 days. Coincidence? Maybe. But annoying for whatever it is

I tried to use the trucks BT and people said it sounded like shit, when I unpaired and just used apple car play it seems to sound better.
