Looking at two different Tacoma’s. One says it’s a Trd sport but I haven’t seen the trim package for this one on any other of the sports I’ve seen. It’s a 2016 and they want $32.5 w 80k miles. Also wondering if I could find raptor lights for that style grille or not? Or would I have to replace the grille?

the other is a 2016 trd off road w 128k miles and they would only go down to $29.6k
Not sure weather to stay below 30k or spend the extra for the lower miles. I’m new to the Tacoma world, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That desert tan truck in the pics is an off-road. Tell-tale is the lack of hood scoop, it has black fender flares, and it says off-road on the bedside.

I'd say spend the lil extra on the lower mileage truck because it looks really really clean. Not too sure about the red one since you didn't post pics, but with 100k+ miles usually they are a lil beaten...but you never know.

I would definitely get the lower mileage one. What’s a few thousand when already spending 30k?

You also get a better deal, a locker.

Edit: sorry, I thought the red 2016 was the sport. But either way, the one with a lower mileage should be the better deal.

@Murd3rd that’s what I thought too since it didnt have the scoop. But the description said sport from the dealer and I hadn’t seen that grille and chrome accents on any other one. the first two pics are of the higher priced one, the second two pics are the higher mileage one, you can see the difference in the grilles. But I had my brother go check on it since it’s where he lives and he said it looks clean. Two owners but still the 128k miles for almost 30k.

Yeah true, I like the lower price obviously but would like to make some changes to the other one in the first two pics like the grille, to a black one like in the second two. Also I’d have to have the first one shipped and the second one is within driving distance. So I’ll have to see how much shipping is. But thanks for the input.

None. I would not pay none of that. $30k and $32k for an old truck? Hell to the NO. Things are really bad. Why don’t you wait a little and get brand new for a price close to that. Avoid buying used Tacomas at this time. It’s a rip off. They are literally ripping your skin off.

You need to get a look at a Car Fax report and ensure there haven't been issues before you drop that kind of change on a used truck. May make the decision for you.

Oh my bad, your post said red, autocorrect must've corrected TRD. Lol.

That chrome grille is the same one that was on my 19 TRD off-road. I do not know about the raptor lights as that's not my style. But I'm sure they exist, they're super popular. Lol

If you can spend $32k I’d consider a little more money for a brand new SR/SR5 around $35k.

I would also pass and save a few pennies and get a new truck.

Yikes. New TRD Sport was 36K less then 2 years ago. Seems insane.

I really like the SR at those price points

failing that I do think there are better deals.
I just did a quick search and you can get a 2017 Off Road with 68k miles for 28 grand from a Toyota dealer just down the road from me.

2017 Off Road with 63K miles for 32 grand heading to the Toyota dealer in the other direction

I believe better deals are there.

This is my move. I love my OR and would definitely miss some of the features, but not at those prices and miles.

    SR5 bro for life.

16 lacks rear powered slider anyways, so that is an instant no from me anyways.

    Yep

I bought my '19 OR for 34K new. Paying that for 80K miles is nuts when new OR's could be had for ~40K.

I’d buy a new truck if possible. Inventory is terrible for new vehicles but the mark up on used is criminal right now.

Hell I’d consider a Ford Maverick, they are adorable.

    Yeah
That is the correct grill for a 18 TRD OR without tech package.
