Put the 3rd coat of poly on my build yesterday. Have been kicking dealing with the electrical component down the road but getting closer to being done!

Still have some work to do (building/poly'ing shelves), all the electrical components and the usual tweaks here & there. But she's serviceable and I'm spending the weekend in a blizzard in it!

Mounted the panel prior to weekend camping w/ the intent of connecting it while out. Didn't end up getting to it but knocked it out today. Seeing 11 amps at the controller.

What’s the rated wattage on the panel?

Thanks. Looking at 160-200w and trying to balance size and output.

I went a little overkill: 200w panel & 100Ah LiFe battery. My only draws are/will be 5kw diesel heater, interior LEDs, a small circulation fan, 12v outlet, a couple USBs and possibly wire in my old 400w inverter. But this is for winter camping in Maine/New England so wanted a larger panel since sun angle & hours aren't the best.

I would love to hear about how you use this heater. I assume you are plugging it into the bed outlet or some other battery generator. How long can you run it with out draining your battery?

No insulation other than adding some knockoff reflectix to cardboard backing on all windows and I was comfortable down to low single digits last night. Forecast is -13°F w/ 10-20mph winds. Just filled the heater's tanks and hunkered down for the night after a great day of skiing.

How does the diesel heater work in the bed like that? Both the diesel heaters and my little buddy heater get hot as shit. Can't run mine on low for too long back there or else it turns into a sauna.

@betterbuckleup to be sure it can make it warm. I turned it all the way up early that morning and got it up to 77° at which point I bumped it back down a bit. I've not extended the LCD/controller into the bed so my tough guess is I kept it between 4.5-5.0Hz most of the night. That kept it upper 60s. That said, my only insulation is reflectix knockoff on cardboard backing on the windows.

I wanted my drawers to only take up half my bed so I can put my bike on the other side. The left side top is removable.

Really liking the stacked drawers. What rail system did you use?

With the platform that high I assume you aren't intending to sleep under the topper?

Looks like just heavy duty drawer slides on nicely fitted diy drawers.

I use 3 identical boards that can be used in any position or orientation. It's not hard to make yourself but I figured I'd have a few of these CNC'd and see how people like them, I'm calling it the BamBed system. With no support structure underneath there is a small amount of deflection <1" but it can still easily support 1000lbs evenly distributed. I typically use it with a trifold mattress. Let me know what you think

Awesome set up. Love the modularity.

Thinking of doing something similar myself. I would love to come up with a way to use six boards so you could do any combination of left to right and front to back. I would need to come up with some sort of modular center support then too which on complicates things. Haven't really given it much thought yet though, it's project for this coming spring.
