TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
That just gave me an idea. I have a few of the red pieces left over from doing the MESO micro-switch install while doing my illumination mod for a few TW members. I am going to paint them black this weekend.

Because it's Friday I thought I share this here from this morning...

I ordered the following from Fred Anderson Toyota out of NC:
    00948CHMSLHW 1 $ 28.41 TACOMA CHMSL HARDWAR
    00948CHMSL 1 $ 24.25 TACOMA CHMSL REPAIR
    PK3B635JS0 1 $ 109.48 Remote Tailgate Lock - Extra Long

    Order Summary:
    3 products , 3 items $ 162.14
    Coupon
    - $ 23.27
    Shipping & Handling to 85050 $ 23.27
    Total
    $ 162.14

Unfortunately, this morning they cancelled my order and are issuing a refund. I called and spoke with Ryan Cahela who claimed they can't sell parts that are part of a tsb recall and that's why they had to cancel the entire order. I asked about the tailgate lock and he said I'd have to replace the order through their website, but it's now roughly $138 for the same part and he refused to honor my original price of $109.48.

That's totally bait and switch. They won't sell third brake light repair parts, because the dealer gets paid to do the repair work and reimbursed for the parts as well. None of which has anything to do with the extremely cheap sale price of the power tailgate lock kit.

For those waiting on Toyota parts from the 20% sale the other day good luck and I hope you get your shit.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to do the gasket install myself as well.

I take it you're coming for military? Don't they pay to relocate?
Hopefully the Tacoma design change doesn't make it look like a Nissan.

Yeah, but in this case I'm the dependa. My wife's car is much more practical for the area, so we'll take that and I'll buy a bike when I get there. If Toyota does screw up the aesthetics then screw it I'll just buy a used one like I did this time (3 months ago). When we come back it will probably be time to upgrade her ride as well so we'll probably end up selling her car there and buying her an EV when we get to her next duty station.

I have to boost pro model which is much bigger than the next step down. The case is specific to this model but they might make cases for the smaller nocos that aren’t as big.

On the Taco I did the wiring back a few years ago so it was plug and plug with the new ones, I don’t remember where we tapped power.
On the Highlander I had to wire down to the window switch panel, not hard but had to find ignition switched power. I didn’t bother connecting the headlight power, so they don’t dim with the headlights on, but I didn’t want them to anyway.

As much as I hated to do it, self tappers right now(don't steal it). I had it on my single cab for the extra space but I needed it for work. Ill put a bolt down kit on it eventually.

I'll find another dealer to sell me the parts and complain to corporate if I have to. No dealer should be able to hold repair parts hostage for a documented tsb factory defect. I figure it's my truck, so I should get to decide who does the repairs and what gets done to it.

Might look good. I have a Barcelona Red '22 Sport so this subtle trim looks perfect. I personally did not want to add any red highlights inside the cabin. The red trim on the knob is subtle and not overpowering. Internally, I've been okay with the chrome. I've only changed the steering wheel logo from chrome to black (with an overlay). Exterior, I've been mostly deleting the chrome and it looks really nice.

What year and trim is your Highlander? It’s the only newer one I’ve seen that doesn’t have that stupid Chrysler/Buick looking grille emblem.

It’s a 2022 XSE. I didn’t like the Highlander at all until I saw the XSE. Toyota changed up the front and rear bumper and front grill and blacked out most of the chrome. It’s a nice ride.

Wow that is a big pile of :crapstorm:

I ordered a Long Bed mat for $ 77.44 (ironically shipping was $ 136 which I used the free ship code for) from Sierra Toyota as part of that 20% off and free shipping thing and they emailed me today saying
"Good afternoon, status update on the bed mat. I have an ETA of Saturday the 2/19/22 arrival. Due to a short back order. I will ship it out after we receive the part. Thank you Parts @ Sierra Toyota"
Sounds legit to me but I'll believe it when I see a tracking #..... Good Luck to all who want there stuff!!

I started to get a Noco but then found a better deal on a GooLoo. Why do I think all these starter bricks are from the same source?
