A 24v engine isn't cheap to port. and to really get the full benefit, custom seats on 24 valves aint cheap either not to mention the valve train.

In my opinion, if you're putting that kind of money into it, you might as well sleeve it and run a forged rotating assembly to get your moneys worth. That's a few bucks too.

With that done, you're not going to make significantly more than what you guys already are with the TRD/Magnuson, so you're going to need some snails, a centrifugal blower setup, or get URD to release the Whipple for the single VVTi engine..

In all, there's way to much cost involved for what you'll ultimately have. Probably unpopular opinion but I'll entertain the evidence to prove my POV wrong :)

much respect for an honest, data backed explaination. a forged crank, rods, pistons is going to happen....someday. then snails.

When I installed mine I went from zero to hero. 2.8, bigger injectors, cam gears etc and had Justin out the TRD tube with base HP tuner with some session remote after. Go big or go home!

There are a few companies that make boxes for sound. Not cheap but if you want a car sound it exists

And I’m guessing even with all that you’d still be making like 450whp?

On a Magnusson I’d say that might even be a bit ambitious unless some serious modification and upgrades were done to improve the heat exchangers. Spinning that blower faster is only going to produce more heat.

Heat management will be critical for any max effort setup.

Yea just doesn’t make sense to dump all that money into doing all that for the hp to money ratio right?

In my opinion, no. (but I'm a guy who doesn't make much money..)

But, to be fair a Procharger setup or a custom turbo setup can get you to the limit of what the stock block can tolerate (Close to 400whp) for a few thousand. Which isn't too terrible.

If you're not committed to truly going big, there is little benefit to playing with the internals of this engine. It's kind of a slippery slope, where if you're doing one thing inside the motor, you might as well do them all otherwise you're just hamstringing the potential of whatever you did.

Put cams in the motor? In my experience with the Kelfords, only spinning the engine to 6000-6200 is robbing you of the meat of the power band the cams provide and hampering (somewhat) everything below ~4K or so.

Build the bottom end but keep the Magnuson? You can rev it out a bit more, but your still airflow limited and have a heat problem.

You can extrapolate from here. :)

It's a good kit, but the airflow turbulence in their piping is horrendous. They really need an airflow straightener in their piping.

Think of your URD intake issues on steroids :) There's some log screenshots of the MAF output looking like an earthquake happened in downtown LA in the Procharger thread.

No, it is a RC62F. I feel the ratios match the power band of the 4.0 very well. It should of had it from the factory.
