I've been loosely following that thread as mine is showing some signs of wear. Looks like a swap I may be able to handle.
I've had a good experience with the Hydro Bearing from clutchmasters. Is that compatible? Otherwise it looks like the Tilton is the next option.

I was about ready to go on a rage post about 3rd gen auto trans, then I saw that's a manual. All clear

I know a couple others are running that trans as well. That is the one in the 3rd gen correct?

I don't know if it is compatible with the RC62F. I still have my CM hydro bearing. If I get some time I can try and mock it up.

There's actually not much wrong with the trans in those. In my 3rd Gen tune, correcting the shift scheduling actually makes the 3rd Gen Auto quite reasonable.

Maybe it's fixed, but I owned a 2016 and driving it in the mountains was atrocious!! Constant gear hunting. Had it flashed 2-3 times by the dealer with the tsb's. Traded the 2016 in for the 2014 after a year.

Custom shift scheduling is required. Toyota REALLY missed the mark on the trans calibration in the 3rd Gen trucks.

You should write them a thank you note! Created quite the market for tuning.

0-1. Sans UCON, still stalls out with the same codes. Just an assumption if it was bum coils, they wouldn't start the car or at least make it more difficult. At least I know now. I was hoping it was the UCON to get this over with. No misfiring or none that I could observe. I have a new FPR to toss on. Crossing my fingers maybe it's overly rich due to bum FPR. Thanks so far dudes

CHECK ALL GROUNDS ON THE EINGINE UNBOLT AND CLEAN THEM. IT SEEMS ODD THAT YOUR SETTING FAULTS FOR ALL COILS.
    SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

This ^ Especially since you've been in there doing some serious work in the engine lately. Might be something loose in there. Also, what you describe sounds a little like theft prevention response when the vehicle doesn't recognize the key.

DocME has a point there with the key. If you have another key try it.

Right? Nor do I think in the worst conditions that all coils would be malfunctioning/failing as it suggests. I'm thinking it's not enough time for the ECU to decide why there is a fault and is throwing the code. Will check the grounds again.

Agreed. I tried to attach everything as how it came off. I can only think of the plastic harness clips that went brittle and cracked otherwise it's all there. Also with the solid engine mounts I don't see much moving around at all.

Interesting. I thought the 2nd Gen ratios are pretty good on my 6 speed manual 3.73 other than 6th gear. That gear is about identical to 5th and should be taller for highway riding to drop those RPMs. How different is the rc62f?

    RC62F 4WD transmission.

    • Second Gear: 2.017:1
    • Third Gear: 1.321:1
    • Fourth Gear: 1.00:1
    • Fifth Gear: 0.848:1
    • Sixth Gear: 0.713:1

Looks like they adjusted that problem with 6th. Curious how different 3rd pulls cause that’s the money gear

Once I get my truck back up and running I will a ride or drive. If you happen to be around my neck of the woods.
