Applying sound deadening material to your Tacoma is boring, tedious work. I hope it’s worth it.

Wait till someone like me says you have to pay me to take that crap out to work on your truck.

 

I am carefully avoiding any factory wires and access points. Leaving plenty of room around mounting points too. I really hope I don’t need your services, but I’m thinking about that.

 

I’m serious bud.
I had to chase a water leak and had to pull the interior and found the guy blanket sealed the whole truck. I couldn’t work on it. Guy refused to remove it and said I had to take the stuff off and replace on our dime.
So he left with a water leak.

 

What a jerk.

I’m not looking for 100% coverage, just enough on the flat panels to dampen the vibrations. I think most of the road noise I hear is coming from then pressure relief vents on the back wall of the cab but I don’t see any way to tone that down. You have any suggestions?

 

Doing the back wall and floor is just about the best you can do.
Can’t touch the vents cause you’ll never shut the doors.
But you are correct. The flat panels will give you the best results.
They are tinny and they are designed like that.
All about saving weight equals mpg…
