One of our customers recently bought a house with a lot of stuff left behind. He came by yesterday with this and ask if I was interested, wound up trading him two propane exchanges for it :anonymous:

Called in some help to move it to the yard.

I don’t really need it, had one and sold it for $200 a couple years ago. May hang into it and make a miniature one.

    What he said ^ :D

Thanks for the link @Cooldood . WCSH was one of the stations we’d get OTA btw. The cottage was by the mouth of the Merrimack and we’d get Portland, Boston, some Worcester and NH stations. When conditions were right, we’d get one out of Providence.

I only have one "higher up" and he's not concerned with the state of the shop as long as the sawmill is running. He comes in to do some things and leaves the equipment in even worse state than my coworker. Some of the things I've seen him try to do with the lathe.... yikes.

edit: we don't have paperwork to fill out except for hot work permits occasionally. I've tried to implement some accountability and inventory keeping- that went out the window after a week. Too many hands in the pot that don't care to wash them.

Which antenna are you all using? We’ve tried 4 so far.

Also, I've been up since 3:30. Can't imagine why I was exhausted at 8:00 last night. Probably will be tonight, too.

I usually try not to poke (public) fun at people who genuinely don't know something but since it is just us wrenchmen here...

    Original post:
"my passenger seat sounds like its loose and rattles loud when going over big bumps. Anyone else have this and if so is there any way to quiet it down?"

    First reply:
"See if the bolts holding the seat in place are tight."

I too often wonder how some people have the intelligence to have a job that allows them a $45k truck.

Then I look in the mirror and think " I'm a perfect example showing that it's better to be lucky than good."

I have one like this but with a preamplifier.

Edit: Apparently it doesn't like my link.

    Do a search for a ClearStream 2V.

Also, have you used antennaweb to see where the stations are and what antenna they suggest?
My sign from yesterday. This road was absolutely horrible. Even though the beach was amazing, we wouldn't be going back.

I understand. Sometimes I think people post just hoping someone will speak to them.

We are now going on 2 generations of cell phones and internet, unfortunately this has seemed to have atrophied many peoples ability to think independently and solve any minor problem without a consensus from a group. Looking around it seems "men" have gone to seed. :frusty:

I just hooked up what was there. Looked something like:
    FE0BBCEE-C2F5-4BA5-96D8-A04CD784B379.jpg
but was old school and V-shaped. Exterior mount on a roof deck. We had unobstructed almost 360 views.

Remember- no such thing as an HD antenna, that’s just hype.

Make sure it’s as high as you can go.

Interested the four you’ve tried and the reasons for swapping out. There’s websites that will tell you which channels you can expect to receive, such as:
    https://www.antennaweb.org/

    Good luck

We made it out there in a mustang a few years back...

The napali coast is awesome. We hiked to hanakapiai falls which was super fun. I hate heights, so there was no way I was going further.
