Its not the remote start the shuts off the engine on the door opening it's Toyota. There isn't a remote start made, not even by Toyota that will allow the engine to continue to run upon opening the door.

I have the gb40/case and I store it vertical on the passenger side with a torque wrench and tire repair kit (jumpers are still back there too, and when I get the courage/confidence I’ll remove the backups backup ) everything fits in place like a glove with no movement.

I have the N2 remote start in my 20 SR5, and it stays on when I open door, it will stop if key is not in the ignition and brake pedal is pressed.

Oh, wow. yeah, they got rid of the option to get the body separate but that would make it very nice as to eliminate all the space needed. Thats awesome about the fam member build. Sounds like a very well built car!

I have the N2 starter on my 2021 MT and the engine stays running after you open the door. The developer (Jimmy) specifically designed it to do so after hearing everyone’s displeasure with the factory remote start not leaving the engine running upon entry.

Make sure you find waterproof foam. The non moisture-absorbing type. Especially in humid climates.
You can imagine the nasty funk & mold that could accumulate (grow) over time...

So glad VT doesn’t require that. Although I’m surprised, it’s getting so frigging crunchy around here. Everyone moves here and tries to make it like the place they left.

I have that setup and it definitely gets good articulation off-road. The ride on pavement is improved IMHO. I’m running the Billstein 5100’s front and rear with OME 886 coils up front. Less body roll around the curves. Really like the ride compared to stock.

So hoping the development explosion we’re seeing here (NW FL) is their 2nd or 3rd homes so they’ll leave their “attitudes” in their home state. There did seem to be an abundance of “wrong” party signage last November, however.
