    Hey everyone,

Can you keep an eye out on some Diode Dynamic ss3 amber combos? Someone popped them off my truck this week. Luckily it looks like no damage was done to the hood.

    Appreciate it y'all.

    Can't have shit

damn that sucks. I just installed ditch lights today and I was thinking about how much easier they would be to take off and steal than all my other lights.

it's the nature of the world in PDX-land nowadays, unfortunately.... a buddy of mine owns a dealership out there, had someone break in, steal the keys to one of his trucks, they drove THROUGH not one, but TWO gates, stole another car.... they thankfully ran into him over at Cascade Station, gave him an ass-whoopin he'll remember... Cops showed up, catch and release..... and then when they asked him about the "by-standers said there was a fight" he simply replied... nope... have a nice day officer

Incredibly sad.... I really enjoyed Portland :pout:

I've only been here a decade and things have gone to shit. Have to imagine anyone native to PDX is even more disappointed.

Sucks whenever you have to intentionally round your nuts and bolts.

I’ve honestly thought about pulling out the mig machine to throw a tack weld on each bolt.

Yeah, or security nuts. Anything to prevent throwing a wrench on easily. Carriage bolt or a torx bolt filled with wax is a non-permanent deterrent.

If you ever saw the pics of lights removed with pry bars and hammers you would rather have them pretty easy to remove Vs the insane damage

Once got some batteries stolen off a machine. Literally 4 nuts and they decided to cut the wires instead. If they have the intention of damaging it they aren’t gonna care if it’s easy or not

For sure. I had a Fiat Spyder years ago sitting at a bar. Car had the top up passenger side widow up and locked ,drivers window down door unlocked. They cut thru the top to get the 5 dollars in change in the ash tray. Sometimes not the smartest of the bunch and they will do any damage to get what they want.

    Be Safe...

Was at a movie with a buddy and his car was broken into.

It's a soft top Jeep, so you could literally just unzip the windows and get in, but they opted to slash the back and side windows open.

...then they used a cutting wheel to mangle the dash and remove his shitty old Alpine Halo head unit.

Crack heads can suck turds straight out my big round butt, man. All their nonsense accomplished was to net them an alright stereo that's probably worth $25 if you're doing some crackhead deal, and cost my friend hundreds or thousands in repairs and electrical work cleaning their mess up.

I'd imagine the unnecessary damage is as much a "f you for having what I don't" as much as it is panic and stupidity. These people will never respect property or appreciate the countless hours and money we put into our vehicles.

Same. I've only been here just over 7 years and I can see the difference, especially the last couple of years. They have really let the city go to shit. I moved out to Hillsboro last year and am so glad to not be in Portland proper anymore. Plan to move even further away in a couple years.
