Nah, probably one of those Stewmac Celestion knockoffs. Something warehouse I can't remember. But nothing special. I'm gonna keep an eye out those for something. Could all be in my head. Maybe I should just leave it. It's an old cheap amp.

 

I should actually open it up and check all the caps. Pretty easy and cheap to replace.

 

Mines probably going in the closet with the crate. I can drag it out for company or maybe leave it in the garage.

 

Right, they do look cool with that old Peavey logo. That's kinda what sold me on it that and I had one as a kid. They're pretty easy to just grab and go somewhere. I keep reading about people recording with them. You can get some pretty gnarly distortion on them. The cleans on the other hand..

I ordered one, fuck it. When I swapped the speaker out on my Peavey 6505 it was noticably better. Should help this little Rage. Gonna pull the board out and check that. Give it a once over.

Did you guys notice his old Peavey amp in the background on his work bench

it’s a neat study, and definitely shows where the real differences in scale, pickups, pickup placement and strings. Really make up a large chunk of what’s going on.
Some of the times it was very difficult to tell the difference between the 2x4 guitar and the Anderson Tele.

This is a perfect example and anyone just starting off should listen to. Your guitar doesn’t have to be $$$$ and exoctic wood for you to get good sound.

If anything it should show you that experimenting and not getting caught up in the hype is where it’s at.

I remember in HS, our guitarist Hayden, was insainely good. I mean, like Yngwie Malmsteen kinda good.
