I have a 19 OR can I put this in it? idk man this is crazy when I was a kid we put friggin water in there...
The coolant reservoir is just below the low line so I want to top it off, my power steering is low too I'm planning on putting any dex2 or 3 atf I can find in it. I'm doing an oil change today with mobil1 "extended life" (0w-20) oil and filter says "extended life" too because nothing is regular anymore, hopefully that's all good for the engine. I see why people just go oem on everything. I feel like these companies lost customers by offering to many specific things, if it doesn't say "oil for 27k mile oil change trd off road" you dont even know what to get.

    Damn, that container is RACIST!

That's the stuff you need. Like you mentioned, I went and bought a container from the dealer. Always use the pink stuff!

Your oil/filter choice are solid. Personally, I don't "extend" my change intervals more than 7500k and the oil can do it but that's a nasty subject unless it's Friday, then it's expected.

I don't see any issue using it, but why would you need to replace the coolant in these toyotas when they have the lifetime type? I never changed the coolant in any of my toyotas when they came with the pink stuff. My 4.7 tundra was still fine after 19 years, and nearly 300k miles with the same pink coolant it came with.

    That's the right stuff.

Keep you coolant clean to avoid corrosion.

I believe when any car/truck says lifetime there is a specific mileage if you look around. Coolant, transmission brake can all break down or get contaminated. With that said if you go too long you don’t want to change your transmission fluid. I have read about people changing the transmission fluid after 125k and they mostly wish they hadn’t. It’s your truck do as you feel is right. Change your oil(Always) brake fluid when you change your brakes or every other time. Coolant when you feel it.

Probably just fine... it's the same OAT chemistry and doesn't have 2-eha which toyota and honda don't like.
Some coolants de-rate their "long life" rating once you mix them. The oem gallon is cheap at the dealer ($20).

Its just low, I'm not replacing it. But I have heard its good to do a flush around 50k. I had a brand new SR and just got a OR with 27k miles on it so I haven't really had do do any maintenance yet. This is my first self oil change and i just wanted to top off the fluids and change the filters while I'm already in maintenance mode.

That's an acceptable aftermarket brand. Pentofrost A4 would also be fine too.

The coolant is not lifetime. It's longlife. It should be changed at 5 years or 100,000 miles I think some may say 150,000 whichever comes first. Coolant looses it's anti corosion properties over time and will eventually become acidic. When that happens it can prematurely cause the water pump to fail and eat holes in the coolant passages.

Transmission, gear, and engine oils are different imo....you can see the difference in color changes between clean oil, and dirty used up oil, or atf. I go by color, and the temp protection in a coolant. If both still meet specs. what i think is good for here, i'll leave it alone. Imo, coolant seems to go sour when its exposed to air, or a cooling system that runs way too hot.

What does the manual say for the 3rd Gen 3.5l? I'm too lazy to go look it up.

I'm going by what this Toyota mechanic said in his video on how to make your Toyota last.

You can try and make the engine last, but chances are the chassis won't without having to nickel, and dime you. You'll probably end up spending more than what you could of bought a new truck over that time. On top of it, you still have an old truck.

The Owners Manual says 100K for the first coolant change and then every 50K thereafter.

I thought that is what they say but for some people 100,000 miles might take 10 years to reach. I think that's a long time to expect the additives to keep doing what they do.

Never flush anything except the toilet.
Drain and refill, do not flush. Too much chance of stirring up sediment.
