    Some stuff
A friend of mine rear ended another car at about 15 mph. He was in a Lexus suv and staring at a raptor in a parking lot. All the bags blew. They had to cut the airbags to get out, and had a bunch of scrapes and rug burn.

Glad they were okay other than some scrapes and rug burn. The staring at a raptor part made me laugh out loud though! :D

Damn! I hit a car head-on doing 45+ and scraped my thumb on the dash... that's it. No rug burn, no bruises. The old lady and her partner that pulled out in front of me went to the hospital though.

I miss my Mazda3. It deserved a Viking funeral, not that.

Absolutely it helps! I was thinking if you had a 1.5 lift the shocks would have to be 1.5 also to accommodate the lift without being over extended. I understand what you’re saying now though.

That’s exactly right. The 5100’s for the rear are good for up to 2” of lift.

Awesome! I really appreciate the help and explaining this to me. On my 85 4Runner I just bought kits and put them on…learned how to work on the truck but not why things were what they were. Also the straight axle made thinks a little easier

That’s what I really dig about this forum, it’s educational and the community is really supportive. I didn’t know what I know now when I first joined TW. I’m mechanically inclined and really enjoy learning something here just about everyday. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I use the search button up at the top of the page often, because more than likely there’s a thread for that! Whatever that may be.

Spent the last two days detailing the truck. Strip washed, clayed it, and two coats of Adam’s Graphene coating. Took the topper off the truck to clean and apply 303 Fabric Guard. Removed the wheels to strip wash and apply two coats of the Graphene coating inside and out. And also vacuumed and wiped down the interior.
Feels and looks like it just rolled out of the dealership, maybe even a little better.

Wow! That does look like it just drove off the lot! :101010: Should be a breeze to clean when you get it dirty. You are planning on getting it dirty again right? :mudding: :boink:

Thanks. Most definitely be getting dirty again. I’m trying to do a deep clean and reapply the Graphene spray coating every 6 months or so. Stuff has amazed me at how much easier it is to clean the truck. From bug guts, bird poop and yes, even dirt, doesn’t stick near as much. Plus you can use it on just about everything from your paint, your wheels and even all the plastic trim. No nasty white residue to in the cracks like old school wax coatings used to cause.

Great choice. I sell those. I also use to deliver them by myself a few years ago. They must have gotten heavier because I put one together yesterday and I was like holy shit. Getting old sucks...lol

Anybody have a Truck Vault that has bed stiffeners? Looking at pulling the trigger on the passenger side vault, but will be installing Rago bed stiffeners and curious to know if it'll work.
