Not to derail this thread in an odd direction, but...

One of my grandfathers used to grill his steaks by first laying down an unperforated layer of aluminum foil across the entire grill and "cooking" the steaks on that shitty, cancerous "griddle."

They'd sit there cooking in the nasty fat and blood that should be dripping down and causing delicious char to form on the steak, and always turned out sad and grey.

How you could do that to a perfectly good steak and still enjoy the meal is beyond me... :der:

Idk, for a moment I actually thought we were headed in an a good direction and found a way to solve the world’s renewable energy crisis. If we all just drain our oil back into the ground, all of our chilreen and ancestors will have plenty to go around. It didn’t get there though.

Run it through a charcoal filter or Brita before dumping to avoid ground contamination.

So are you saying by pouring it on the ground the different layers of soil will filter it all of the contaminants so we can pump it out again to be reused. That EPA has no idear what its talkin bout.

Then you'd have a renewable source of energy for grilling your steaks! What a concept, oil soaked charcoal.

Idk, that’s the first thing I thought of years and years ago(I was a kid) when I first heard that at some point we will run out of oil, and needed to find renewable resources. Why can’t we just put it back….where it came from, and use it again in the future? Lmao, The EPA has known about this all along….that’s why they made it illegal to put it back. It’s a natural resource, but un-natural to put it back where you found it. I see it as another life cycle on earth and by us not giving it back to Mother Earth….creating the entire shortage…that nobody can prove actually exists. There’s a three page study securely locked up in the EPA’s vault, and wrapped in red tape for extra protection.

    Used to prime the old Subie's - 2000 5spd - oil filter.
My 2nd gen Taco would be a messy one to attempt that on.
Medium rare beef is the only way, unless it is slow cooked. Rare is okay depending on the cut, but I don't eat tenderloin, and I don't like chewing each bite for 5min.

As for filling the oil filter I follow my engine builders advice / recommendation on my $$$$$ 427sbc race engine and he recommends filling the oil filter prior to installing it
