its $35 for the year so any purchase over $200 will pay for the membership. If you get the generator you’ll get an additional 10% off of $2200, or $220. Subtract off the cost of the membership and you’ve paid 2200-440+35= 1795 instead of 1980 with no membership so getting the membership you’ll save an additional $185. Or maybe get a buddy who doesn’t have a credit card yet to sign up for one and pay him back :)

i agree the icon isn’t worth the price. They may be better quality but at that point the value that I get/need vs quality isnt cost effective. Funny enough, the only icon tool I own is the golden ratchet :rofl:

I recently got myself one of the Apache 5800 cases for my astronomy gear. I've heard very good things about them. Got the ITC membership because they had a discount for ITC members, so I overpaid $10 for the ITC so far. I think I'll recover it within the year.

I’ve gotten as far as taking out of the trunk but haven’t used it yet. I’ll let you know tomorrow. I already have an older Pittsburg 3 ton and a Daytona 4 ton jack and they’ve both been great so I’m expecting nothing less from this one.

Dang it. I'm late to the price party. $2199 now the MSRP.

3% sales tax???!??! Where the hell do YOU live? MY sales tax is 8.75% and that's only because I refuse to go to L.A. County where it's 10.25%.

Rub it in! I'm not gonna get as good a deal as you did! Hahahahahah!

South jersey, the town next to mine is “economically depressed” so they lower the sales tax. I make sure I always buy my big ticket items there. I’m also only 30 minutes from Delaware which has no sales tax, but with the price of gas and bridge toll it would have to be really expensive to make it worth the trip there. It’s amazing how much the prices have gone up on all their bigger ticket items in only 6 months or so, but they are still a decent deal, try and find a 9500W inverter generator of that quality for any less of a price and you’ll come up short I’d imagine.

I’m no jack expert, and just a DIY home truck maintenance from time to time guy, and for my needs, this jack serves me very well. I opted for the nearly inferno orange flavor though, so I think it’s naturally a little bit better :)

ITC is $30 rather than $35; we both had the same thought and were only $5 diff because of that. Good to know our basic math skills are passable! I started to write out an excel formula in my reply to calculate it all, then thought "What the Frack, I do excel all day at work, let it go!"

Well they were sold out the jumbo wrenches at the HF near me so I picked up an icon 1/2 breaker bar with the molded handle. Seems to be good, better than the tekton one I have. The set screw backed out on that one and the whole bar flew apart LOL.

here’s a comparison of the 4 ton Daytona, 3 ton Pittsburg, and 3 ton Daytona long reach low profile. So far I like it. It pumps up right away much faster than the other two plus it has the foot pedal. It is pretty damn heavy, but I don’t plan on ever picking it up again

I have the lime green Daytona long reach...can confirm it's not something I want to ever lift after getting it unloaded that first day. :benchpress:

Consensus is that the Avanti paint sprayer is worth the $250? Anyone use it with Zinsser oil based sealer primer? 59F8C586-A6B9-454A-8E8D-5560EBC041A3.jpg

The key to picking up one of those Daytonas is to swear copiously and profanely at it when lifting. Helps decrease the weight while making you stronger.

Factory lift kit. Lomax tri fold Tonneau.
Thanks for pics showing how nice that new jack is, now I have to go out and get it. My current 3 ton Craftsman jack won’t fit underneath my Challenger unless I use a scissors jack to lift car a inch, PITA, plus with the lift kit on the Tacoma the Craftsman barely gets the front wheels off the ground.

I did 1.5 exteriors with the discontinued HF Krause and Becker paint sprayer that used to be $149 with coupon. Works great but parts are slightly different than what is avail. at HD including the filters which took a while to find replacements that work.

Agree with above that if paying full price get the big box version just to assure easy parts finding. Caveat here is I have no idea about part compatibility with the new Avanti.

Edit: under $200 it gets more interesting

You’re welcome, maybe I’ll get a referral bonus
Hit the winner today, the other HF had the wrenches I wanted in stock. These will come in handy for working on my backhoe and I need the 1-7/8” one to remove fan clutch on my ford

I had a similar problem with my Camaro. I would lay a 3 foot long 2x8 down with a 2ft 2x8 overlapping it (picture a staircase). Drive my car on it, chock the back tire, get the jack under and jack it up, then jack stands. Finally got steel ramps so I didn't do that anymore. Always toyed with getting one of those long reach, high lift Daytonas but space is very tight.
