Thanks, that was my understanding as well. I'll check again in a few weeks and make sure nothing is screed up.
Still pissed I used the dealer for the install.

I am in a turnaround at work and haven't been around the forum lately but I read about the backward bolts on the leaf springs. I have the Constant Load leafs and my bolts were backwards as well. Luckily they're so stiff they haven't contacted my fuel tank to cause any issues. They're actually too stiff and I'll be pulling a leaf out soon. With a bed rack and a bed cover, along with 300lbs of weight plates in the bed, the rear still rides about 1.5" higher than the front.

(I may be missing more to this in previous posts) Its very common for coilovers on the front of an IFS vehicle to have different amounts of preload driver side vs passenger side. One side may need more preload to compensate for more corner weight and get the vehicle to sit level. Various things will cause that lean... battery location, fuel tank location etc. Luckily adjustable coilovers are capable of making these changes.

I finally got around to getting my coil overs assembled and will install everything next week on my days off.

set the drivers side coil overs to 8-7/8" and passenger side to 8-5/8" as per John L at iron man usa. I am curious about removing a leaf from the leaf pack so its not as stiff, if so which would I go about removing?

    Quoting my own post.
@JMcFly Not sure which leaf pack you went with, but here is my experience with the constant load leaf pack. I pulled the 3rd and 5th spring (from the top) and am really happy with the ride. Currently running a RSI SmartCap and some knick-knacks in the bed. Nothing crazy, but rides good and looks level.
If you're breaking down the leaf pack, I'd HIGHLY recommend scrubbing the leafs and re-painting/covering them. I've got chipping and rust which just doesn't look good. Since they're already pulled apart, take the time to respray.
Also, based on recent finds, as you reassemble, double check your driver side leaf pack to make sure the bolt head faces in to prevent contact with the gas tank.
Good luck with install, its pretty straight forward. Hardest part is UCA bolts, followed by the weight of the leafs. Share pics!!

I just spoke to iron man support since my leafs are j coded so they told me to just swap the bolts around and the info about 3 and 5. I’ll probably remove the third and go from there

Alrighty everyone. Super dumb question but the single bolt goes to the front of the of the truck while the two bolts go to the rear. And I saw I have a J code spring so on my D/S leaf I can just swap my bolt heads around? Still looking for a free weekend to install..

Yes, double bolt (with TOY### part number stenciling) goes toward the rear. Make sure the bolt HEAD faces the fuel tank.

I have constant load leafs. How difficult is it to remove a leaf?

Not hard at all. You'll want some c-clamps to hold everything together (it's not under load so it's not going to explode or anything it just helps to hold them while you get the bolt off and bolt them back together). Just take off all the nuts you see, remove the leaf(s) you want to remove and then put it all back together the way you found it (with the exception of making sure the bolt at the gas tank is the correct orientation).

Dropped at dealership for tank replacement this morning.

PSA to be a bro and leave her empty if you ever need your tank dropped at the mechanic.

No joke... I dropped one on a Chevy Silverado three quarters full. Wasn't too bad though... But still a bro move to empty as much as possible :fistbump:

Last time I did a fuel pump was for an F150. We took the bed off lol. The whole cab was already off anyways why not full send it and rust proof while it's opened up.

What timeline did they give you? Shouldn't take too long.

I'm still a little impressed @LiquidArrogance made it with 1 mile to spare. I assume there is a 2 gallon or so reserve.

Im very impressed as well. That’s pretty great planning there.

    Thanks for the reminders lol.
Though it was a pretty busy week last week. Our cat had been in and out of the vet all week and sadly we had to put her to sleep on Saturday. She went down hill quickly.

Aw damn I'm sorry to hear that :(

We lost our kitty bae last year... I work in prison and there's a feral population inside the fence line. One of the psychologists traps them in rabbit traps, gets them fixed, and re-homes them. Unfortunately their main food source in the prison is pigeons... the pigeons eat the bugs, and the prison sprays the bugs which gets into the pigeons. You see where this is going. All the re-homed kitties started dying of stomach cancer ~2 years after being adopted :(

I guess at least we gave a better home for that two years than living under a conex container eating pigeons.

Thanks, we’re doing what we can. She was a great cat, and we do have lots of great memories.

that’s very true, still not a good situation but giving the the best home while you can means the world to them.

We kinda had a feeling time was growing short this past week. She just wasn’t her normal self. I was able to get one more good picture of her and our shiba a couple days before.
We said out good byes before my wife took her to the vet. She was supposed to get her sugar check for diabetes, which we thought was the problem. While her sugar was good, her condition was not.
