Haha, I saw that, I wonder how they measured that. Good thing I’m a perl lover:laughing:

I really want to do a project in Rust though.

Howdy folks, are 1gen frames the same from 2wd to 4wd? I’ve read that the only difference between extended cab and regular is a mounting bracket

Reveal: it’s a 1975 Datsun 280z with only 46,000 miles. It was purchased from the original owner who was 80 years old, he parked it under a tree in 1986 and there it sat for 36 years.

It has virtually zero rust. I’m still in absolute disbelief. I snagged it for $6,000. Original enamel signal orange paint.

1975 was the last year of smog exemption. We’re gonna be doing fun stuff with the engine

That's awesome. Looks great for being parked outside for the last 36 years, I assume he at least kept it covered somehow

I had no idea there were that many! I only have C and C+ familiarity, and that's just because certain VFDs I've worked with base their PIDs in C... so I actually don't know how to program in them at all lol

C is the grandaddy of all of the modern languages. It’s super powerful and it’ll let you do whatever you want, which is why it constantly shows up as the root cause of security issues.

I think it was partly spent under a car port, then the canvas collapses or something then the trees got to it. I have to ask for the original pics from the guy I got it from, the cowl is rusty because it had owl pellets and leaves on it.

At what point does your bank stop giving you money? Surely they have a certain allowance of shitboxes.

As number of shitboxes increase, credit score decreases or something like that.

I can agree.. Though I picked up C coming from IBM assembler. So it was a walk in the park. Machine language makes you strong. :crapstorm:

In one course we learned MIPS assembly. Writing programs to do image transformations (mirror/rotate) in assembly really changed my perspective on how to program

    It fucking sucked lol

After that C/C++ seemed like a mercy

U mean the bundle of trailer wiring that is zip tied to the bottom of the truck so I don't rip it off on the rocks?

Interesting stats, but don't take them too literally. It doesn't sound like they factored the devs into the equation. I'm sure @0xDEADBEEF locked in a dark room with VIM uses a fraction of the energy as I do running Visual Studio on a 4k monitor :p .

Similar... the course I took on assembly and compilers was critical to my mental model of how software works and I'm happy that I haven't written any assembly since then.
