Is it a waste getting a TRD Pro if I know I’m going to lift it

Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.

    I like this approach.

If the idea of having more money disgusts you OP... then spend the $$$$ on a Magnuson Supercharger and be burdened with extra torque and horsepower.

    Get a manual.
Pro will require you to just drive. The resale value is excellent. And the trolls will love to hate on you, only from their keyboards, of course.
And, when you/if you do change suspension parts, all us normie Taco owners will gladly buy the components.

Buy a Pro for $5000 above MSRP. Immediately sell it to some poor schmuck for $10,000 above MSRP. Then, buy an Off Road and put a Pro grille on it.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
The hood scoop is worth 1,000.00 bucks. The tacoma looks like a tired pack mule without it (even though it's purely non functional). Offroad looks sad from front

Reconsider why you are lifting this truck beyond what the Toyota racing developers developed. Do you think you know something they don't? Trust me, I've tried this many times... lifting a taco more then 3 inches is just silly.. especially with that 3.5 you will never ever get enough torque for the lift to matter. Unless you are putting a turbo on with the lift, forget it. Leave it stock. They way the tacoma egg heads thought it should be.

You need that kind of clearance go buy a g1 or g2 to complete modify or get a new tundra.

If your going to lift this truck 6 inches or even 4 you get absolutely nothing with a g3 taco that a g2 taco won't do better. You simply can't. Your tiny little 3.5 will make your heart stop when it bogs down trying to turn those 33s. Then you have the immense problem of electronics... if you want to build a lifted taco. Go buy an access cab sport g2 like mine. They are 500 pounds lighter and with a turbo in manual transmission, produce nearly enough power to be a serious crawler. All the pretty new offroads with lifts, just bog out

A true "dedicated" rear locker in a sport will set you back 1500 bucks. But it has gearing that will make a or blush

I had a 2020 OR manual loaded up to the 9's traded it for a 2021 Pro manual (only got it because on dealers lot with off road stickers they didn't know they had it. I said hey I want that pro they said we don't have any) got that at mrsp when all were tacomas were at msrp so only a few k more than the OR. I just sold that got 6k more than paid, waiting for my Lime manual do here next month. Always Go Pro if you can. Not at the 15k over sticker but if you can get it for less than 5 ADM do it. Resale is great on both, pro rides better if you are doing more street driving. Mine stays on road, with the occasional Costco run, 2k miles a year maybe. With the pro you have a warranty swap out things on the OR and you are out of warranty if you mess it up. Pro is king of the hill,

Yeah, but it's gonna cost you thousands in optometrist bills. I hate the skewp. It looks cool, but after getting it on my new 4runner, I hate it. Hate is to kind a word.

There’s a reason they only make up 5% of total sales. If they could sell more- guess what? They’d make more.

Why rip off the shocks you paid dearly for? It’s not like aftermarket shocks are going to be a huge upgrade. If ride height is the priority, just get an SR and put a spacer lift in it. I see no other reason to get the pro rather than the OR except the fact that you don’t need to change out the shocks. To each his own. Only you can make this decision.

Pro warranty is 3 years. upgraded shocks have a pro-rated "Lifetime" warranty.

Are you saying all aftermarket shocks have a lifetime warranty? I’m not sure that’s true. I believe my king shocks had a 90 day warranty.
