Morning Mark - I'm off today!
    Morning Kevin
    Morning Jo - nice!
    Morning Mike

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Trip into Austin for the Last RAV4 Toyota Care visit. Their computer says should be the 20K visit - sitting about 9500. Quick Lowe's stop on the way home, and let the wife have it back for a grocery pickup. She's letting the store do the shopping, and bring it to her car these days. It's pretty good if they "have" everything, and they give good "coupons" for these customers. And, the dog gets a ride. About every other week she's got to go in for something they didn't get (or get right). She likes it, so I guess it's a fair trade.

Alright @Slimwood Shady ,@Lucario Runner ,or @SCOTT'S TACO LOCO : Memory test. One of these nicer days, I'm going to drop the sway bar, and insert a rivnut for the King bracket. I remember fun getting the bolts back on. If I step drill the brackets one size up, will that give me enough play to replace without a fight?

I would just cut that bracket from the bumper to the sway bar mount, that would solve alot of issues imo.

Thanks, BUT now MY memory isn't good enough. I'll have to take a pic even I get home. I thought it was the mount to the frame. I'll check, and see if I need to ask the question vetter.

The nut inside broke yes but what made the reinstallation a challenge was the bumper brackets mostly cause they weren't flat and centered.

Ah, step drill to those brackets. They are the middle of the sandwich, yes?

    Hello San Antonio,

Long time lurker on this site, I thought it was time to say hello and ask for advice.

About me, I have Gen 1, 4X4, MT, TRD, that I purchased new in 2003. It has been my daily drive off on an, and I currently have 130K miles on it. Since Covid and my retirement it mostly just been sitting in the garage. Everything on the truck woks as it should, I have always maintained it, never in an accident and all OEM.

However The upper control arm bushing are rotting away, and the cab mouthing bushing have also rotted away. Does it matter, do I need to make it priority to have them replaced?

If yes can anyone recommend a good shop in SA? Someone who will treat my truck like it was theirs? I have used north park Toyota 1604/281 in the past, but after the last time....no more.

    Thank you Peter

Welcome Peter. I don't have a shop, but I'll be surprised if some of us can't help you out in some fashion. I'm sure you'll see someone chime in.

OK, here's a couple pix. Since you guys were the muscle - do you think I can even put this BACK together with all 4 holes widened out? I saw a lot more muscle than I have....

    20220221_162437.jpg
    20220221_162620.jpg

It's drop the sway bolts and brackets, let the bar down loose.
    remove the King brackets (hex)
install the Riv-Nut in the front drivers hole
STEP Drill the bumper brackets a size or so up - without drilling the frame....
    reverse.

course, I could get the grinder out and do that.... but I will consider that a last resort.
