GA TRAVERSE YEARLY TRIP March 11th-13th

Hello TW, seems like at least once a year we get a group of guys and do the GA traverse. Its a fun time of so good camping and over landing. Its always a family friendly time. This is not a wheeling trip.

Anyways we will be doing parts of the traverse March 11th-13th. Anyone and everyone is welcome. I will be going up Thur the 10th after work. Roll into camp probably around 10:30-11pm eastern time. Not sure the site yet.

I would like to do the eastern half this time if possible. Closer to SC side. For those coming from BAMA we would be riding back towards home on trail.

I have done the frog loop many times. Its always a good time. Let me know if you have any questions.

Im going over to Clayton GA for a wedding this weekend which is very close to this campground. Might check it out while im over there to see if i want to camp there thursday night.

 

That's what 2 weekends???? Hmmmm very tempting are we going to do what we did last time and just camp in one spot then drive around and hang out? Kiddo would definately want to go not sure about my GF or not.

 

I assume it'll be like last time. Brian is the ring leader of this one

 

2.5 weeks. More or less the same as last time.

I'll be back from Texas on the morning of the 5th

 

Me, wife and kids will be coming. Nice to know we will be doing the SC side. This will be closer for us since we will be traveling back from NC.

 

Imma talk to the wife. We've got a trip up to Arkansas planned for the next weekend after that. Maybe she'll let me do this one too.

 

So what part are we doing? I kinda want to go to that lake again. Asked the ol lady if she wanted to come and I have the kiddo that weekend so she's definitely coming.

There was a sweet camp spot on a creek me and PP tried to make it to last time we were there but it was late and weather was awful. We never made it. I’ll see if I can’t dig up what it was called.

 

The lake is closed for the season unfortunately. I wanted to do some of the eastern side since I’ve never been over there. I can find some good camping spots. I’m down for whatever. We can find some water and a good spot and post up. Or ride one day and find a spot and post up for Saturday.

Damn, if I had known about this a couple weeks ago I would have shifted my time off request and I'd have been able to catch it, as is I'm spending all of my accrued time right now for a move.

That lake is gorgeous up there though.
