2020 Tacoma OEM LED Headlight Megathread

They just asked me the same thing.

ETA: I responded I know they will fit. Order status just changed to 'Received'.

Entering a VIN is optional, it's not a requirement for placing an order.

U.S. highway safety regulators are about to allow new high-tech headlights that can automatically tailor beams so they focus on dark areas of the road and don't create glare for oncoming drivers.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it issued a final rule allowing what's called “adaptive driving beam headlights” on new vehicles. It will go into effect when published in the Federal Register in the next few days.

The headlights, commonly used in Europe, have LED lamps that can focus beams on darkness such as the driver's lane and areas along the roadside. They also lower the intensity of the light beams if there's oncoming traffic. Camera sensors and computers help determine where the light should go.

Just tell them it's for a vehicle modification. Every time I say that, it's no more questions asked.

 

I installed mine one week ago today! Non-TRD Pro and I'm loving them!

You're right too, that skewp is sexy… maybe one day me truck will have one.

 

Anyone knows how to adjust the OEM LED?

This is how the low beam looks like out of box, the driver side looks too high to me.

There are bunch of stuff behind the the back of the taillight, and I don't think I can fit a socket on it.
But I do notice a vertical tube structure that leads to a toothed rotating gear thing, what do I need to insert there in order to adjust?

you guys get an update yet? Been a week now for me, nothing's changed. Hoping they're just swamped from the sale and this still goes through.

 

They could be waiting on parts. Might not have them at the dealer.

 

sparks shipped mine on the same day, they must have ordered a bunch from the regional warehouse

also, non Pro were made in Mexico

I believe my pro led's say made in Mexico, but I'd have to double check. My Tacoma was made there too. Neither had far to travel from Mexico to AZ, which is kind of nice.

 

I e-mailed them Thursday asking for an update on the order (it was on "Payment Confirmed"). They e-mailed me back asking for a VIN to check part fitment. I replied "I am absolutely certain they will fit" and a few minutes later the order changed to "Received". The payment has posted to my card.

So that's where I am at currently.
